What the hell is happening to Bruce Jenner?

This "guy", I use that term loosely, is slowly morphing into a woman. The rumours have been rampant that he wants to be one and by the looks of things, he isn't that far away.

To think that this guy was the Decathlon champ in the Olympics and how far he has fallen is sad. He looks so God damn creepy!

Why couldn't Bruce have the courage to come out after the first divorce? And now the media praises him as courageous?

Jenner is, by all accounts, attracted to women. So it wasn't that he was not into or in love with or sexually attracted to them. He was.

Little different situation than the one you pose here, in which both the gay man and the straight wife are victims of societal bias.

If you read the very next verse, it's explained. And it has nothing to do with "Judgement should be left to God alone". That's man's gospel and it's completely opposed to what scripture says.

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."

Does that say not to judge? No, it says not to judge hypocritically. Does it say in the metaphor that we should let the brother go around the rest of his life with the speck in his eye? No. It says to help him. The obvious meaning is that we shouldn't hold others to standards we are not willing to hold ourselves to. It very clearly does not mean never to call sin what it is. Context matters.

This is expanded many times in the New Testament, and nowhere are we told to look at sin through our fingers or to not call it what it is. How are you supposed to tell people how they became separated from God if you never say what has separated them? How can they ever know what God has done for them if they do not hear of it?

Should a physician reassure everyone that they are just fine when he actually believes they have a serious illness and that he knows what the cure is?

The cruelest thing of all would be to just let someone remain where they are. I mean, believe the scripture or don't, but anyone can understand that nothing could be more monstrous than a person who is convinced that someone else is "dead in their sins" as Paul writes, and says nothing to them, and just pats them on the back and tells them it's gonna be just fine.

There is never any call to be hateful or cruel, but there is always a call to speak the truth in love.

The media roll out on this is spectacular though. He's getting coverage everywhere, pumping up his value so much that even when I tried like **** to avoid this circus it was even getting coverage on CNBC on Sirius this morning. First off, you think Jesus is like a character in Treasure Island, a literary figure, but use him as a weapon against believers. This tactic is nothing new.

Secondly, you gloss over loving God. If one truly loves God, he will keep his commandments and stautes. His Word clearly states this is wrong, using loving your neighbor as a means to dismiss this behavior is disengenuous. If I tell my daughter to not touch the stove, it's because I care...likewise, if someone is engaged in behavior that is harmful, not saying anything is the bigger injustice.

Looking at man's failures, or using said failures as a mode to judge one's faith is silly. It's also a cop out. Man is going to let you down every time. Our faith is in the Lord, not man. Condoning this behavior isn't loving your neighbor it's enabling and endorsing it.

I feel compassion for Bruce Jenner, I'm pretty sure one day, this decision will haunt him. As someone mentioned earlier, he's psychologically broken. I also feel for his kids, who not only lost their father, but were pushed into the public eye to deal with it.
