You can plan for criminals. You can have a chicken in every pot and a gun in every drawer. You can create zones of fire, if you want. You just can't do it in near time, with the specific intent of setting up a specific ambush.

Bottom line:

Plan for self defense. Don't entrap for a killing. Don't record yourself doing stupid or criminal things.

And never talk to the cops, beyond specifically invoking your 5th amendment rights and referring them to your attorney.

Go figure the jury ****ed this one up. You decide to commit a crime, you forfeit your rights. The man screwed up by taping it and talking. Now a man serves time for taking out the trash - that's ****ed up.

That's not the law. If it were the law, the crazy old man would not be going to prison.

The fact that you would support this guy tying the kids up and raping/torturing them for perpetuity is disgusting.

I can relate to this. I've had the same vehicle stolen from my house twice in 4 months. It's cost me my deductible both times, plus the inconvenience of the whole stolen car process. They tried to steal it again last night, but I put a Club on it and they couldn't get it, just smashed the window.

I know it's the same people. I don't want to kill anyone, but I'd love to split some wigs. Hopefully, my wife wasn't recording our conversation this morning because I may have said some things, that I don't really fell, but would probably get me fired.

Hope the next car they steal, they crash into a river, sink to the bottom never to be heard from again.

Wow, that's unfortunate.

It's tough because it's not like the police are going to hang out every night until they catch the criminals. But at the same time, three theft attempts in four months is definitely a pattern. In a perfect world, you could go to city council and get permission to hook a car battery to your door, but I guess the softies on the jury would call that premeditation.

This is why you never go into a stranger's basement. There's a reason that basements are concrete and soundproof.

The guy was in charge of security for US embassies - he knew what he was doing, even though this information was not given to the jury.

He laid tarps out in anticipation for the bodies.

Self Defense is a reactionary measure.

Bad news people- you also can't rig your doors and windows with a shotgun or trip wire explosive in the name of home protection.

Again- did everyone actually listen to the audio they released?

If Omaha ever breaks into my house I'm shooting him in both his knee caps so he can't run. Then making him eat twinkies and candy bars while threatening to blow his brains out if he doesn't. I'd try to get him up to 300lbs in a few months then make him **** a fat chick.

This should not be a surprise

Quote:
MINNEAPOLIS -- Documents have been filed on behalf of Byron Smith to appeal his first-degree murder convictions.

Smith's defense attorney Steve Meshbesher tells KARE 11 the appeal documents were filed in the state supreme court on Wednesday.

Meshbesher says he feels the Morrison County judge overseeing the case made several mistakes, and he feels Smith was not granted a fair trial.

In April, Byron Smith was convicted of killing two teens who broke into his Little Falls home on Thanksgiving Day 2012.
