Virginia's head coach Tony Bennett comes from Wazzu and I remember being happy the day he left even though I wondered why Virginia? Not rooting for them. I really don't know.

I expect Kansas to not make the sweet 16 potentially. Definitely not a championship contender (which would make it all the sweeter should they defy the odds).

You might want to start actually reading the posts you are replying to. I said there were a bunch of decent teams that were greatly overvalued. Notice how I did not mention elite teams.

You are saying exactly what I am regarding conference composition.

Regarding the other metrics: you crow about the value of those ranking systems every year, and every year the Big XII comes up woefully short in tournament play. One year is a SSS issue, but when it happens over and over again it doesn't just become bad luck.

The Big XII hasn't had a team other than Kansas make the FF in over a decade. The closest you have is WVU, and they made it when they were a member of another conference.

The Big X and the ACC both have had far more teams go deeper in the tournament more recently. After a while that stops becoming a one year aberration.
