Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I was at a gunstore last week and they had several AR's in that I got to check out.
They had a Colt, Windham, Smith & Wesson, Ruger and Daniel Defense. Talk about nice guns my goodness. |

They paid 1500-1700 with all the accessories. 3700 is criminally insane. My other buddies bought AR 12 gauge shotguns. I have yet to see one. |

Here is what I think they bought, but until I see them with my own eyes, I won't know for sure:

Yup that's the Turkish MKA 1919 AR-15 sort of patterned 12 gauge. I say sort of because it really only looks like an AR-15. That's almost certainly what they got. The only other choice(which is also turkish by the same company), is a 410 AR-15 upper that actually does fit on an AR-15 lower.

Traded for a Para Ordnance 1911 black ops edition yesterday. My M&P 40, 460 rnds fmj ammo, and $400 cash for his para and 240 rnds. What do you guys think? Someone want to post a photo of a similar gun? My phone won't let me.

I like Para's recent changes I have a P14 Tactical and it shoots great. If you have an issue Para's customer service has significantly improved. Worst comes to worse and if you have a problem you can always try to contact Travis Tomasie who's one of Para's pro shooters. He helped spec the Black Ops line and works really hard if there are CS issues. Generally you can find him on most of the popular 1911 boards.

The only difference between that picture and my 1911 is my barrel is stainless. I'd like to add a stainless beaver tail, stainless hammer, stainless non ambi safety, and a stainless slide release. Don't know how gay it would look adding a few stainless parts.

to each his own. It's still a 1911(or 2011), so if you don't the stainless bits swaping them back out isn't hard. You can't have too many gun parts can you???

Not sure I like the G10 grips either. They are really rough, probably get uncomfortable pretty quickly.
