Things that annoy you about the general public

I will start.

How about people who argue with a base level employee about a policy? The receptionist didn't make the policy. She can't let you in without an appointment. She isn't going to risk her job just because you're an idiot and can't follow the policy like everyone else, or because you think you're special and policies don't apply to you. Becoming irate is not going to increase your chances, either.

I have the answer why for those hating on check writers. It's called kiting. Takes a couple days for a check to actually clear your bank, even if it's electronic ACH. I'd do that shit all the time back when I was broke and payday was a day or two away. Fortunately it's been a long time since I've had to do that.

Completely separate from chewing tobacco, I don't understand why people spit in public for no apparent reason. They're walking down the street and just fire off some spit. Why is that? Other than the extremely rare occasions where a bug flies into my mouth, I never have the desire or need to spit in public. What is your mouth producing that you can't swallow?

No, dude. You blew your chance with her all the way back at the "Place your order here" station.

I don't think kiting works very well now. Most stores just scan the check which goes directly to the bank like a debit card transaction.

I do too. I still swipe a card for everything and pay in full every month. Much more convenient and I don't get stuck having people wait behind me in line like I have to for you, grandpa!!!!

It still works but not quite as well depending on where. Most places still takes a couple days even if they scan it.

When I was back in college me and a couple roommates would exchange checks back and forth for beer money stretching it out a couple weeks if we needed until one of us got paid. We called it the "check game".
