Madden '17

Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.

2. Coaching/FO decisions.

3. In-game ticker with live updates.

4. Practice squads.

5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.

2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

now my rookie WR, who is my #1 target, breaks HIS collarbone in Week 17. Rookie of the year, Pro Bowl, tons of XP, WORTHLESS.

Madden is conspiring against my league-leading franchise.

Ah well. Time for the playoffs!

No Agholor. No Harden. Can the Chiefs offense win a game in the playoffs?

Cameron Wolff and the Browns come to KC for the divisional playoffs.

It's a complete shit show on offense!

The only thing keeping KC in the game at this moment is their #1 defense.

Fortunately, the Chiefs get their running game going thanks to rookie power back Kenny Cummings and take a 13-6 lead in the third. Then this happens.

Oh Christ. Well, we can rely on the #1 defense to close this out, right?

**** SHIT PISS ASS COCK **** BITCH

No worries. Bobbo Chase will take us down for the game winning field goal. Here it is!

OH CHRIST. OVERTIME. And now Chris Conley is hurt. My WRs are Dion Hillman and DeAnthony Thomas.

The Chiefs win the toss, fortunately. Let's see what happened!

Spoiler!

Absolutely Love This Game

Im in year 2036 of my franchise and Andy Reid is still the coach of the Chiefs. He has led the Chiefs to 18 super bowls winning 13 and losing 5.

James Friedman is my QB from Alabama, he has been in the league for 18 years, is 38 years old. Has 67,452 yards passing, 650 TD Passes, 174 Ints, 73 % completion, 250.8 YPG average, and 119.8 QB Rating.

Have had great WR's, RB,s, TE,s.

Justin Houston retired with 192 career sacks and Tamba Hali had 160.

This is the best Madden game i've ever played and havent got tired of it yet.

Just encountered my first bullshit cheese in this game online. Dude was ranked 66th on PS4 with damn near 500 games played.

What a shame.

The AFC Championship! Jets @ Chiefs

The game started with a bang as Kenny Cummings came all over NY's defense.

The Chiefs knew they had NY offense's number after their regular season win a few weeks ago. With the score 17-6 just before halftime, Bobbo Chase went for the knockout blow.

Mother****ing triple option up in your face, Jets.

The Jets threatened to make a game of it, closing to 34-20 in the fourth, but Bobbo Chase went after 35-year old Darrelle Revis for the dagger.

Rookie sensation CB Derrick St. Louis made a great play on the final defensive snap to end the game for good. Had a terrific rookie year with 4 picks.

The Chiefs play Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Super Bowl 54. Can they right the wrong of last year's humiliating blowout loss?

SUPER BOWL 54

The Chiefs return to the scene of the crime. After losing Super Bowl 53 to the Seahawks, can they reverse the outcome against Aaron Rodgers? Here...we...go!

The Chiefs get the opening kick and go right down the field into the red zone. On third and 9, Bobbo Chase dropped back and...

7-0, KC! A nice catch and broken tackle by third-down back Mike Gourlay, signed off the practice squad after Agholor's injury. But the Chiefs had been here before, leading last year's Super Bowl after the opening drive, too.

Aaron Rodgers would rally Green Bay though, and tie the score at 7. Just before halftime, the Chiefs responded with a drive of their own and Chase once again dropped to throw in the red zone...

Big catch and dive by Chris Conley, who was having a big game at this point. The Chiefs took their 14-7 lead into halftime. After a field goal made it 17-7, late in the third the Packers tried to change the momentum of the game.

Dammit, Chiefs! Don't do this again! In last year's SB, KC surrendered over 200 rushing yards. The Packers drew to within 3 after Jeremy Maclin burned his old team for a short TD.

With the score 17-14, the Chiefs need to swing momentum back their way. Gourlay turned in his second big play of the game and did just that.

HUGE! The Packers special teams coverage was so bad, Gourlay didn't even have to make a move on anyone. 24-14 Chiefs...could they close it out?

The Packers got to within 7 after a field goal drive, leaving the Chiefs with a chance to run out the clock. The Chiefs turned to rookie HB Kenny Cummings. Would he fumble the game back to Green Bay? Let's find out!

THE JIZZ IS LOOSE! I'M CUMMINGS SO HARD MAN! THE CHIEFS WIN THE BIG ONE!

Super Bowl MVP:

Chris Conley 8 catches, 138 yards, 1 TD

Robby Chase finishes 19-25 for 229 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

Kenny "The Jizz" Cummings - 22 car, 99 yards, 1 TD

A very nice contribution from Mike Gourlay, with 5 catches for 58 yards and a TD, and a 99-yard KR TD. Perhaps robbed of the MVP award.

Aaron Rodgers finishes with 266 yards and 1 TD in defeat.

SUCK IT CAMERON WOLFF! SUCK IT CHIEFSPLANET TROLLS! ROBBY CHASE BRINGS THE LOMBARDI BACK TO KC! #AlexSmithLoser

I'm still giving all credit to La'el Collins for that shoestring tackle against Cleveland. Falling behind 13-0 against Cam Wolff...that might have been the difference in going one and done and winning a Super Bowl.

2nd straight playoff run ended by RoboQB play. Last time it was Blaine fn Gabbert and the Jets. This time....that piece of shit...garbage...pop warner level...terrible...awful...

Pickston Lynch and the Fraudcos. 90 percent comp 375 yards and 4 TDs a year after Gabbert did the same against the number 1 pass D....the fu*******. Maybe i go full Clay and nerf acc instead. Most of the time it's fine but those games and the other one against Air Geno were controller launchers.

Beat the Chargers in the WC round 16-10. Moved on to face the 14-2 Patriots and lost 37-28 in Foxborough. Just couldn't stop their offense, wasn't too upset about it since the CPU played pretty realistically. Super bowl is Panthers vs. Patriots.

Hmmm...I have my acc at 30. Refuse to go any higher than that. I have a secondary full of studs, they shouldn't be getting roasted. Still see the occasional bad throw.

Make sure you have human pass coverage and reaction time high enough, too.

And for ****'s sake don't blitz. Unless the QB has sub 70 AWR it's usually a bad idea.

I had it cranked up to 54 because i had a stretch where i evicerated a couple strong QBs. That turned into a mistake as turds like Geno and Lynch were goin HAM. Nerf time!! Rarely blitz. He was chucking to Thomas and on replay a ball went THROUGH Peters hands 3 times. Like it morphed through his fingertips. Pass deflections have gone the way of the dodo this year.

Oh and they returned a blocked punt for a TD right before halftime when i had perfect timing on the kick. They really need to neuter that shit unless u botch the timing on the meter. No way to stop it. Buh gawd kang Goodell even rigs Madden games for his precious Horsey

Haven't seen the weird stuff on the FGs like Clay has, but that's the third time Colquitt stood there until the rusher broke free and he kicked it right at there arm.
