Bungie Destiny

Didnt see this posted anywhere.

Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, February 17.

by Lucas M. Thomas
February 12, 2013

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

Just want to say, I played it last night at my friends house. I haven't picked up a controller or played a shooter like this for a long time. It took me like three games to get good. The aiming is just way to easy, also pro tip for multiplayer, do not jump in the air. Way to easy to track you floating through the air. A fun game but not this bad ass game I was hoping for.

Once you level up, you get more control over your jump and boost

Canofbier and I beat the moon strike last night. If anyone hasn't done it yet, get as leveled up as possible. That shit took us a good hour to beat.

Man, I don't find aiming easy at all. But I'm used to having some form of aim assist. This game forces you to just deal with not having it. Of course, if I want to play online I have to get rid of that crutch.

The hand cannon feels like it gravitates towards the enemy's face to me.

the thing I struggle with on most FPS is determining the best gun combo. I'm horrible at it. I find two guns I like and just stick to them but then my son comes in and says I have horrible guns. Shit, I don't know. I just want to shoot stuff.

That said, if anyone can lead me to the guns I should have please help me out.

Depends on your style of playing and those you play with. What compliments your team? I love running into the fray with a shotgun and I use either the auto rifle, burst rifle, or a scout rifle depending on the battle I am getting into. If I am in close quarters my shotgun is out at the ready; if I'm roaming I have my rifle out.

The thing I like most about this game is you can change your rifle in the middle of a fire fight. If I find I need more ammo down range I go to full auto, if I need distance and precision I go with the scout.

Basically there is no right or wrong, just what suits you.

Every game has expansions multiple times a year.

What happens when you start gearing up? You finish the strikes and the raids even quicker. If they have expansions with a Level raise. Then it makes the launch ones worthless as you will really out gear it. There should of been 3 raids from the start.

The expansions hopefully are free for most of them. Or there will be more bitch ing soon.

It is a good average game. But the hype from the devs and gamers themselves hurt it.

I think trying for 10 years of story gimped them this game. It is lacking for a AAA title. If this was mass effect or dragons game people would be pissed.

All guns are good once you use them in their proper way. Just stick with what you like. Hand cannon for me.

We've had this discussion over and over and you know what I'm talking about. The only aspect it doesn't have is the "massive" part. It has other elements borrowed from the MMO genre, rep grinds, progression advancement of gear and dungeons. Those are not RPG elements. Those are MMO elements. Single player games don't have those. And that's why I describe it as "hybrid". It's a shooter with some mmo elements.

As to the rest of your comments, you're certainly welcome to your opinion. I'm not here to defend the game, just wanted to give my own thoughts about it. Different people like different things. For me the game's a big hit.

When you can say the name of the game in less letters than the acronym used to describe the genre, it seems like too much work.

Got my internet issues fixed yesterday. Played for a few hours with my uncle. Not quite what I was expecting, but I had a blast palying it. Went with a Warlock because I wanted to try a type of character that I wouldn't normally use. I love the Warlock's special ability.

As for whether or not the game is a disappointment, I could see hpow some might be disappointed, but I've loved it.

Guru, go with the hand cannon, bud.
