I wouldn't give a shit about him except that he's being hailed as a comedic genius. He sucks.

Get Him to the Greek was expectedly funny. Russell Brand, Jonah Hill, and especially Puff Daddy were all spot on. Its hard to get past the over-the-top Brand, but the more I see of him, the funnier he gets. He seems to be genuine. By that, I mean it doesn't seem to be an act. He is just bizarre by nature.

I just watched the trailers on those and I am looking forward to watching those two films when I get a chance.

The A-Team was pretty good. For what it is, it was a lot of fun. The review above was spot on.

I haven't seen it since college and I was probably stoned and or drunk at the time and only partially paying attention but I do remember it being a pretty intense movie but little else.
To the ship! (ship being top of Netflix queue) Good call, I need to re-watch. |

Watched Dead Man for the first time, last night. I've always wanted to see this movie, but I've heard reviews from both ends of the spectrum and now that I've finally seen it, I have to say I liked it very much.
Johnny Depp plays William Blake, an accountant who was promised a job in a desolate, murky, and hellish western town. The job fell through and after spending his last coin on a bottle of whiskey- the night ends with him on the lam- a hunted dead man. The film includes Billy Bob Thornton, Robert Mitchum (in his last film), John Hurt, Gabriel Byrne, that freak- Crispin Glover, as well as the totally awesome- Iggy Pop. Neil Young strums a haunting and brooding guitar throughout the entire movie. This isn't your typical western- it's more of a spiritual journey such as Dante's The Divine Comedy including conflicts with honor & law, civilization & wilderness, and life & death. So, if you're expecting shoot-outs or John Wayne, you won't like this. This movie is a journey through hell guided by a Native American named, Nobody. There are some very graphic scenes and some subtle comedy in this. It's slow, and that mystery is driven by Neil Young's soundtrack. Not great, but a really good film by one of my favorite director's- Jarmusch.

Caught The Road last night. It was decent, I was yearning for some more detailed, post-apocalyptic brutality, but that is just my tastes.

Saw Shutter Island last night. Not bad. I had part of the ending figured out, just not all of the details.

I watched Cube for the first time last night and I must say, I really enjoyed it.
Is the sequel worth checking out?
