He is our QBOTF, if he develops Elway isn't going to let him just walk away. He will get an extension in year 3 most likely.

I'd have to question the heart of the kid if he signs an extension to be a backup if he can be a starter elsewhere. |

I do know for a fact that Manning is trying to get enough money to buy an NFL team, or at least get majority ownership of an NFL team. If he is playing at a high level and is still getting 15-20 million per season + the endorsements, yeah I think he will keep playing as long as they'll have him. If Brock develops into the QB that Elway thinks he can be I just don't see Elway letting him just walk away. Elway knows what he is doing.

I personally don't see Manning playing past 2014 - that's 3 seasons in Denver. Expecting more than that is asking a bit and not being realistic.

Maybe I didn't word it perfectly, but you know what I'm talking about.

Denver's focus now is to stay healthy and continue to improve on defense. Not sure what is going to come from Elvis' injury, but it doesn't look good. We got a big scare with Thomas yesterday and Decker is dinged up too.
Thankfully, the rest of the schedule is fairly easy and they have a nice divisional lead. Broncos are 6-3 with 7 games remaining and really, it's only Baltimore that looks scary. vs Chargers @ Chiefs vs Bucs @ Raiders @ Ravens vs Browns vs Chiefs In theory, just based on play - Denver is staring at a potential 6-1 finish with Baltimore being the lone threat of a loss. However, @ BAL is a game they need to win to show they're ready and built for post season success. The Bucs are a bit tricky as well as they have some firepower too, but looking at the defenses, I'll give the nod to Denver more often than not. The remaining AFCW games could present trap games... and again, the injury concerns do concern me with a few key players. Maybe Denver is starting to find their groove, it's definitely a mix of poor opponents lately and improved performances by Denver. Chargers, Saints, Bengals and Panthers are their last 4 wins.. not a lot of greatness there, so I'm definitely tempering my enthusiasm a bit. They need to go toe to toe with Ravens and Bucs and do no worse than .500. I think if they lose either, it's going to be concerning to me. That's asking a lot though... considering the 4-0 run, to go 6 of 7 or 7 of 7 is an incredibly tall order for any team. We shall see.

1. If he gets hurt you guys will crumble 2. If he gets hurt you'll finally shut the **** up about your QB-drafting theories when they're proven wrong. There you will be, at 7-9 without a draft pick good enough to go get one of the top 3 guys this year. You'll take your lumps and draft one of those BPAs you're always talking about. 10 years later you'll still be without a legit QB. 3. If he gets injured you and everybody else here will finally shut the **** up about Brock Assweiler and how "KC COULD HAVE HAD HIM!!!!!!" 4. Manning has a ****ing fortune (with more to come because of his advertisements), a Super Bowl ring, his name in the NFL history books, and a longer football career than most players could dream of. You'll excuse me if I don't feel sorry for him because he can't play football again. 5. Schadenfreude, bitch. 6. The Donks deserve to suffer what we have suffered. Every NFL team's fan needs to suffer just like the Chiefs. It builds character and it makes them better people. Then THEY can judge themselves when they begin wishing injury on the dipshit franchises that go, "Herpa derr... oh what does this do... IT GIVES ME A FRANCHISE QB WITHOUT SPENDING A SINGLE DRAFT PICK! INTERESTING!" |

The only way Assweiler compares to Big Ben is if he likes teh rape.
Broncos are a fraud that's been exposed by every good team they've played. Can't wait to see Houston or N.E. lay the wood to them again.
