Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.

It has other elements borrowed from the MMO genre, rep grinds, progression advancement of gear and dungeons. Those are not RPG elements. Those are MMO elements. Single player games don't have those. As to the rest of your comments, you're certainly welcome to your opinion. I'm not here to defend the game, just wanted to give my own thoughts about it. Different people like different things. For me the game's a big hit.

I agree. "Hybrid" is the perfect word to describe it. I played the beta, so I had a feeling of what to expect and didn't really fall into what I call is the "over-expectation" category. I feel like there was a bit of over-hype through all the interviews, etc, but overall am very happy with the game and so are all my friends that picked it up.

The cool thing to remember is that this is the first game in a new IP, and Bungie can drop updates whenever they want, without telling us. More random public events, caves with elites, items, etc. The game can be updated on the fly and that should provide some longevity.

Still loving it. I'm level 24 and I haven't even been to Mars. I still can't beat the weekly strike but have been several daily strikes and up to level 22 strikes off the strike list.

Currently working for the Future War Cult. Their armor fits my style so I'll load up on that and then switch to another faction for guns.

I tried farming there for about 30 minutes the other day, and didn't get much in terms of drops.
