The funny thing is that Hootie was right for the most part. When he clearly states certain protype size/speed/quickness PG, SGs could be good NFL recievers due to the success of average ballers like Gates and Graham and people counter with shit like huuuur Steve Nash All Pro QB, it's a vessel for defeat.

Oh JFC, another ****ing idiot. An average basketball player ended up being a good football player so every great basketball player would dominate the NFL / HerpDerp. Did you ever think maybe Gonzalez, Gates, and Graham were really good natural football players who just happened to play basketball? I'll concede that LeBron, after extensive training and a few years of practice, could possibly have an exceptional NFL career, but he is the exception not the rule.

Oh, and Hootie if you read this, I never got the link showing LeBron as runner up for Mr. Football in Ohio. Also, you said LeBron had never been injured in his entire life, but that isn't true either. He missed a whole summer of AAU ball with a broken wrist and he quit football after his mom got scared when he fractured his finger. So not only are you a ****ing moron, you're a ****ing liar.

His hyperbole is a bit much, but he hit the spot on this issue. It wouldn't be a takeover by any stretch, but there would be some DAMN good upgrades to the the TE/WR positions in the league, so shove the reerun comment right up your ass. $$$/injuries is a HUGE reason talented athletes flock to B-ball.

Here's the fault in his assumptions. If the excellent basketball players would dominate in the NFL, then why don't average players that aren't good enough to stay on an NBA roster convert to football and become above average football players. If it's all about money, an above average NFL WR or TE makes substantially more than a basketball player overseas. Football and basketball are two completely different skill sets both physically and mentally.

By the way, I called you an idiot not a reerun, but nonetheless I will shove the comment up my ass.

Lebron is only 250 because he is 6-foot-7 tall.

There are not many 6-foot-7 guys in the NFL.

He's not that big, physically speaking, outside height. His upper body is smallish in comparison to a lot of NFL players. I bet his bench isn't that great.

I bet Lebron couldn't even get off the line of scrimmage as NFL TE.

He might have some use as a goal line threat, split out wide.

Other than that he'd be a DE/OLB, and good luck learning the techniques. There are tons of freak athletes who wash out in the NFL because technique and skill is such a huge part of the game.

He could definately knock down some passes, but i don't think he could rush the passer around 300lb dudes. I would like to see Lebron do a bullrush against a 320 lb monster.

I think if he spent a couple years learning technique he could be a great rushbacker, because his ability to beat someone one on one plays well into that.

He'd be like Jevon Kearse.

But I'd also bet he'd get his ass kicked against the run.
