The way it sounds to me....

Let's say you unhook the internet from the console, or disable the wireless. You'd be able to play any game offline for (right now at least) 24 hours before it basically locks you out and you can't play it any longer. Once you went back online for 5 seconds, you'd have another 24 hours of offline play before it was disabled again.

Like I said, I would likely never even notice it was going on in the background because when I play, my system is always connected online. I would assume that most gamers are the same way whether they are playing MP or SP. But, my issue with it is why - if I am playing off of a disc - should anyone be able to control what I do offline?

I think if MS had just said "Hey, we are doing away with discs, everything will be downloaded & saved on your HD/Cloud" a lot of their problems wouldn't be problems.

You should probably comb over their DRM plans, particularly the part where the whole "we'll have approved retailers selling used games"

They're going to team up with GameStop to **** Xbone owners in the ass.


Last I heard, they weren't making shit off online passes and finally just said **** it.

Can't really hold a conversation with an irrational PS fanboy. I do, however, think that there won't be usage caps in the future. They're not here (where I live) yet and I don't think Google is going to be instituting any usage cap policies on their fiber network.

It won't happen. Not a lot of variety in our gameplay. The games we enjoy playing are continuing their franchises on xbox so that's what we'll get. I can completely see why people are changing their loyalties though bc ps3 has done everything right thus far

Where I live we have internet outages 5 to 10 times a year and they can last anywhere from few hours to a few days. Not being able to play my offline games because I don't have internet would piss me off something fierce.

90% of the games are multiplats anyways so all you'd really be missing out on is Halo if you came over to the good side.

Really, I can see that being a huge issue for some people - like you for instance. I've been through 1 major outage *knock on wood* on my provider in the 12 years I've been with them and that lasted less than 24 hours.

If MS doesn't do away with that online check or at least extend it to once a month type deal, I'll be surprised. The outrage over it is too high and it, among other things, is pushing people that are more Xbox (like myself) away from them.

I'm actually thinking I might grab a PS3 after the new consoles come out if the price drops. There are quite a few games I'd love to play.

XBOX 1 has 8 exclusives- Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Halo, Killer Instinct, Minecraft Xbone edition, Quantum Break, Ryse: Son of Rome and Sunset Overdrive

PS4 has 5 exclusives- Infamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack, The Order: 1886 and Drive Club
