I think Houston is good as gone unless he comes off his high horse. I don’t think we just get rid of Ford to get rid of him. I think if someone makes an offer we can’t refuse we take it. and who knows about Berry. He’s still Day to day

I completely agree with this. My guess is the Chiefs do as well. Not everyone in the world subscribes to the "they can't be any worse no matter what they do" ethos that CP has adopted. They absolutely can be a lot worse.

I think the Chiefs tried to trade Houston and the value wasn't there. Now they have switched their plans to trading Ford instead, keeping Houston and Berry for 1 more year.

We cannot go into next year with no pass rush and a crappy defense. Our pass rush was the only thing worth a damn last year. Although Nnadi came into his own as well.

If Berry isn’t cut by Wednesday he’s here for the year. Has a 7.25 mil roster bonus that guaranteed once the new league year starts if he’s still on the roster

I think they want to re-build leadership on the defensive side of the ball.

I wouldn't be surprised to see all three of them gone...which firmly makes Chris Jones the defensive leader...and then maybe you supplement it with a vet in Trey Flowers and a splash in the secondary.

I think we overvalue sacks as a statistic overall. We led the league last year and the defense was complete ass. The Steelers always seem to be in the top 5 or so in sacks and yet their defense hasn’t been truly great in a long time.

Yeah they’re great to have and you definitely need to be able to apply pressure, but it all means nothing if you can’t somewhat consistently stop the run or cover receivers.

Several fascinating dynamics are taking place in the NFL. For example ...

One of the player-centric compensation arguments is that their careers are very short. Because of this, they have to make as much money as possible during that brief span of time. This is a sensible justification that seems rational at first glance.

But you have to consider that an NFL football player can (and many do) make more money in his brief career than the average American would make in 50 lifetimes.

Pro-athlete compensation is a tough thing for average people to comprehend.
