Why not go with the better QB to start the season? What with how poorly Smith played, his weak arm, and poor decision making, he'd be justified.

The Alex Smith Nutt Huggers will say, "hahaha mike singletery, he sucked." But Alex's best season statstically was with Singleterry before Harbaugh arrived. But that credit goes to Alex Smith and then QB coach Mike Johnson, who was promoted to OC after Singleterry fired Jimmy Raye. Smith is responsible for 2 coaches and several OCs getting fired. |

For instance, he cane in against the JEts in the redzone when we were tied 0-0 and scored a TD. This move was coming. It was just a matter of time. |

MOOT POINT Colin was breathing down his back and it was obvious Alex was a stopgap to begin with =cause the Ninerz had nobody on the roster (and Alex was paid handsomely despite benchins and lack of talent 54 million )other than Kaep that could possibly take over the starting job..it is obvious the FO wanted to see return on the investment so start Smith...bear in mind the Ninerz have talent in all areas.

Kaep played in spots and eventually came in due to injury. Harbaugh was highly bashed for this move, even by the 49er fans. But it was the right one. Some of the Alexsexual fans are still butt hurt over the move and thought their golden piss boy Smith would lead us to a superbowl titile. How delusional...... |

Shaun Hill- Alex had a serious shoulder injury, team was 2-1. Was out the rest of the year. But many pin that season on Alex somehow.
JTO-Alex had a wire sawing into his bone(same injury from year prior. Dr. Andrews admitted surgery didn't fix problem. Obviously when a wire was sawing through the bone) This is preseason, Alex had another surgery to fix the problem and it did. Was out all year. Troy Smith- Alex had a concussion I think(some injury) and David Carr came in and couldn't even finish the game Alex had the lead in against the Panthers. This was game 5. Thus Troy. Alex retained his job back when healthy. This is the year Alex nearly beat the defending champion Saints in game two. Had a game tying 8, yes the two point conversion, point drive to tie. Defense failed to stop brees with 40 seconds left. He had a 20 something point comeback against the SB champion Packers. Only problem was defense didn't let our offense back onto the field the last 7 minutes of the game. Since he's been back and started the team has been something like 24-8. Since that point I think Alex was one of the winningest Qb's in the NFL since he came back in for Troy. CK-Concussion, had his team 6-2. Collin Kaepernick is just the better QB. CK made it to the SB. Had a chance to have A POSSIBLE elite, not good/sometimes great QB. Fixed |

We'll see how well he does. He'll get a few years. I watched most of his games last year and thought he turned a corner in his career. Who knows.

Hopefully for the Chief fans he does...in all reality he is a stop gap at best and it may not be long lived due to his lack of physical ability and talent level...hopefully the FO got a bargain for him..
