That was a solid win for first game on the road. A few observations. Sapong should have been out there much sooner. Espinoza played like a man possessed. I thought Seth and Kai had shaky games. I see that I was not the only one. Collin is my favorite this season.
Soooo glad Sporting is back. Seriously, the last three months have sucked without SKC soccer.

I admit I love watching SKC, and I don't know all that much about soccer.
But to me, our defense looked really good. |

I agree our defense was quite good. I think our midfield was *great*. Not to take anything away from our defense because they really did their jobs but holy shit DCU's offense looked horrid. Shit. lol |

Yeah aside from a couple of really poor giveaways, the defense was very good.

I didn't play soccer as a kid and only barely paid attention to it until 2002. Then for some reason I decided to watch the whole World Cup, because what else was I going to watch that month? The Cubs? Cue the US' insane run to the quarters (**** HUGH DALLAS), and holy christ it's weird to be sitting here ten years later looking back at the decade where soccer finally made that leap beyond anything it had ever been in this country before. And I saw basically all of it happen, since it's basically become my favorite sport (especially for neutral viewing).
Also yay Quakes! They actually have given me a bit more hope that they'll be able to compete this year, though the Revs looked so awful it's hard to make any judgments beyond "Oh wow, Bernardez plays like a boss" and "Shea Salinas is a lot better than I remember." Fun start to the season, though. hi5 on the winning.
