Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I got to fondle an XDs45 for the first time while at the gun show today, and I liked it very much. I also got to handle some of the XD and XDm models. The compact models were sweet!

By the way, thats a good looking AK. Looks just like mine, except your furniture is much darker. I can tell you from experience that its gonna be a sweet shooter.

I seen there was a show out there, sometimes it is fun just to look and check stuff out, I noticed a few weeks ago at a gun show the prices overall seem to be coming down a bit overall. |

Good trigger awareness. Let this be an example to you.

Where do you guys store your ammo? I try to put as much in the safe as I can buts it's too full now. Only have 3 ammo cans full of 9mm, 7.62x39, and 223. Everything else, shotgun shells, 45, extra 9mm, 5.45x39, 223 is just lying around the safe. I would like to store it in a lockable place.

Mine is in a pile in the closet.
I'm trying to save up for a decent sized safe. But no matter what size I get, its not gonna be enough. It'll be filled up with guns/ammo/accessories in no time. |

The bad news is it's still too restrictive, and because of these restrictions will probably have little to no impact in the high crime areas where people really need it. But I don't live in those places, so **** 'em. They're responsible for the godawful politicians that screw them over anyway, so I guess they're getting what they deserve. |

I was out last weekend sighting in my .458 Mag.
I was using 500 grain nosler round tip ammo pushed by about 80 grains of 4831 short cut powder. This gun has two mercury shock absorbers in the stock but still kills on both ends. Anyway, they had 2 1/2 foot thick tree stumps as back stops. Bullets went all the way through the stumps. I couldn't believe that shit. Amazing power with that load. I'm ready to hunt dinosaur. |
