He's right. Jeff Withey can't play in the NBA. He's getting 6 minutes a game on the worst team in the league.

There's a good chance that English plays more career NBA minutes than Jeff Withey does.

EDIT: In games he plays, he gets roughly 6 minutes. He only plays in about half the games. So really, he's getting 3 minutes/gm. So yeah, I don't imagine English's opinion on Withey has changed much.

3. Illinois did not screw Mizzou out of a game that, unless they were playing for the NC, they can never and will never be eligible for as they are in neither the Pac-12 or Big 10.

You're arguing tangential points and avoiding the concept f "deserving" something. Just because the rule screwed Mizzou, that has zero bearing on whether they or KU were deserving or not. And the Rose has no requirement to take a BIG team, it was simply their choice and they chose IL over Mizzou and Kansas. IL took a spot belonging to both Mizzou and Kansas, period.

Ok then I'll stipulate that, I won't disagree. Sucks Mizzou got screwed, and I'm sure you'd have felt the same had Kansas got screwed in lieu.

LOL WUT? The Rose bowl has pitted the PAC-10(now PAC-12) champ vs the Big 10 champ for decades. The only reason why tOSU did not go was because they were in the NC game. So the Rose took the second best team in the Big 10.

I am not arguing that KU did not deserve a BCS bid. What I am arguing is that they deserved it over a clearly superior Mizzou team.

I'll have to see evidence that they were required in any way to take Illinois. I said it was a choice. Are you arguing taking Mizzou or Kansas wasn't allowed?

"Superior"? Lol. Mizzou was 4th in the BCS computer composite KU was 5th. You've got a deranged definition of the term.

Kansas would also have been screwed by that rule. They were certainly more deserving than Illinois.

Not giving evidence for you as this is your thing. You make some stupid statement and when someone calls you out on it you demand proof. All I will say is the Rose ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS takes a Pac team and a Big 10 team. ALWAYS. Unless you can show proof of a time this did not happen then this discussion is pointless.

Also one team won the Big 12 North, played in the Big 12 Championship game and won the head to head matchup against the other team. Which team was that? KU coasted to that ranking while beating no one and when they finally played a good team they got beat on a national stage. With their record they deserved a BCS game, but to think that Missouri was not the superior team in spite of everything that proves otherwise is foolish.

In some years, perhaps one of every three, the Rose will be a semifinal playoff game. In other years, it will host the champions from the Big Ten and Pac-12 -- unless one or both makes the playoffs. In that case, the second-best team from the league will play for the Roses.
The Big 10 champ has gone to the Rose Bowl since the 40s. Anybody with a basic understanding of college football knows this. The only change that has ever been made to this was with the berth of the BCS, where the 2nd best team in the Big 10 is contractually tied to the Rose Bowl unless a 'higher ranking' bowl takes that team first, at which time the tie-in with the Big 10 is gone outright. (This has happened once)

But leave it to your dumb ass to not know any of this and demand others do your home work for you.

You are militantly uninformed.

Indiana in Columbia should be a win.

At South Carolina will be huge, but they lose Shaw and Clowney

After the bye, we get Georgia at home. They lose Murray. It will be a tough game, but we should be favored.

If we can get through those games with no more than one loss, we should be in great shape to win the East again.

Florida is going to be better, but we should still win at the Swamp.

Vandy and Kentucky at home should be wins.

We get a bye before going to aTm. I don't know what to make of that game. They won't have Manziel, and they might not have Evans or even Sumlin. That's a coin flip.

Tennessee and Arkansas to finish up should be wins.

If we can win at South Carolina, the East is there for the taking.
Mizzou can't win in the SEC.

Idiot.

They weren't required it is just their preference when possible to keep the RB as Big Ten/PAC10/12.

And?

What's Kim English's ability to play in the league have to do with his assessment that Withey can't? He's right - Withey isn't an NBA basketball player.

And right now English has about 400 career NBA minutes on his ledger. Jeff Withey, through 14 team games, has 43. So at this pace Jeff Withey will have to be on an NBA roster for 130 games.

That could happen, but I wouldn't put an appreciable amount of money on it.

Jeff will be joining English in Europe soon enough.
