The kid deserves some respect.

After todays game Im starting to believe in the guy as our quarterback. He just displayed a true testament of toughness out there and leadership.

To some people I understand its about him leading us to the playoffs and winning the superbowl in order for them to be satisfied...yada yada yada

Im not going to go by that mindset at all. I look at this game and I see the way he played and it tells me a lot about his character. We should be proud. We got a pretty good quarterback folks. That 2nd round pick we gave up was well worth it.

I think composure, toughness, and leadership are key attributes for a quarterback. Cassel has those qualities and I also love the fact that he plays with passion too.

However, I believe the number one attribute as a quarterback is the ability to respond under pressure. So now I don't want to jump the gun here and say he has that capability, but I will say, after coming back from an appendectomy and performing the way he did, is a great sign and a step in the direction towards performing well under pressure. So far so good Matt. Keep up the good work you sure as heck got my support.

It's a damn shame that Flowers is playing injured this year but Carr has been playing out of his ****ing mind and Lewis & Berry have been far above average.

The Steelers suck in the passing game, as do the Jets. I fully believe that the Chiefs secondary (Lewis, Berry, Flowers, Arenas & Carr) can shut down the weak passing games of both the Jets and Steelers.

The Steelers secondary outside of Troy suck and the Jets have had problems.

If the Chiefs face either, they win.

Only if our D-line gets good pressure on the QB. Very simple. Our 2ndary plays like the 2nd coming of Lewis/Cherry because not only are they talented but our D-line gets good pressure forcing more errant throws.

Our 2ndary played great today not just because they are talented but that our D-line was consistently giving Bradford a "colonoscopy" all day. Good O-lines won't allow that and our D-line is pretty much non-existent against above average O-lines and our 2ndary gets eaten alive as any team's 2ndary would regardless of talent.

If it's at Arrowhead, definitely.

If it's in Pittsburgh, it'll be tough but if Bowe, Moaeaki and Chambers bring their 'A' game, it can happen. Plus, they'll be vulnerable to the draw play with Charles if they rush and over pursue.

I really thought the Steelers were a serious Super Bowl contender earlier this year but they've lost a big portion of their offensive and defensive lines to injury, plus they cut their kicker and their running game has been iffy.

I'm not stating unequivocally that it's a win for the Chiefs, but it's a much more winnable game that I expected back in September.

Of course, I could be completely wrong.
