I think EJO is playing up the gloom and doom. Just a hunch.

I loved that ep although...what the fuck is Adama thinking.
A cylon is leading the fleet. I have no idea where this show is going. The real downer is that we only have two more weeks until next year. Next week looks intense, and the finale the week after next probably has a brutal cliffhanger. |

I appreciate the whole turning-the-BG-universe-on-its-head bit, but I think tonight's episode went just a bit too far.

I have to say I really liked the episode. Part of that is I'm a huge Mark Shepard fan (Romo Lampkin). Guy gets some of the best dialog in the series.
President Leeland Adama...we ended up there sooner than I thought we would. The expression on Tigh's face when Adama said "you've found out a lot about yourself since then" was priceless. I should be disturbed as hell a Cylon is commanding the fleet, but for some reason I'm not. I think Saul Tigh will "be the man he wants to be". A pregnant Caprica 6? Looks like the final 5 can breed with other skinjobs, while regular skinjobs can't. I really hope we find out soon what that "fundamental difference" is. Looks like we've found the secret to keeping Starbuck together. Make her responsible for the lives of all the other pilots. The only times she hasn't frakked up royally (AFAICR) is when she's CAG. Adama going off on his own waiting? Implausible, but OK, I've suspended disbelief for 3 1/2 seasons now. Next week.."The Hub". The week after that.."Revelations". And I beheld a pale daggit, and upon it sat...

In a situation like they're in, no way would EITHER Adama be allowed to simply quit, as they now have both done. And as career military men, such a ridiculous notion would never even occur to them.
But.... like you said, suspension of disbelief.... |

Wow. INteresting ep to say the least. Too many twists for one ep though. Don't buy into the Admiral just stepping down like that though.
