It's us. No one else has even been linked to him.
There's too much smoke. Multiple reports and the guys with sources on here have said the same. |

I think when compared to the collection of QBs we've had here, it's not a terrible move.
However, the real comparison you have to make is Alex Smith >>> Geno Smith. That's who you are essentially picking between. Not Alex and Trent Green. Not Alex and Cassel because Cassel is gone regardless.

So we will know the truth tomorrow hopefully. I pray that it is not KC making the trade.

Quit being ****ing children, or worse, women, over this crap.
When the dust settles, we will have a R1QB. If not, then I'll join the spaz out. Until then the lot of you should shut the **** up.

Since when did it become okay to discuss trades before the start of the new league year?

Looks like we are back to playing lucky roulette with the QB spot. Awesome, thank god I instead spent money on the Cardinals. Atleast they want to win.

All I can think is that the new Chiefs braintrust really hates Geno Smith. Just don't know... |

Lol with Smith being a Chief our players will be at least 3 years older, when our rookie steps in he'll prolly need about 2-3 years to get it down. We're looking Hali, Charles, Bowe, Flowers, Johnson, etc etc being at least 5-6 years older before we'd be consider Super Bowl contenders.
Our team will be old as ****. Last edited by In58men; 02-24-2013 at 07:15 PM.. Reason: Jacksonville is smarter than us |

well I'm going to act under the quick assumption we did trade say a conditional 4th for Smith...
In that scenario and I'm going to assume that means we don't take a QB at #1...I'd like to have the following things happen. Trade out of #1. We'll have to take less than what the Rams got for #2 last year, no doubt...but maybe trade back to Philly and then trade back again to around 9-13 range and I'll assume Geno will be off the board at this point... so then I'd like to take someone like Tavon Austin around pick #10. Then I'd like to trade back into the later part of the 1st round...around 22 or so...and take E.J. Manual and let him sit behind Smith like Kaepernick did because I need a QB that is an athlete in today's NFL and I think Manual has that potential. I'd have to look into it further because if he's a dumb **** I don't want a dumb **** at QB...Kaepernick, Wilson, Geno...they are cerebral. Yes, I realize I'm judging him in that regard due to skin color I can admit it. I'm sorry, I'm flawed. So that gets us Austin and EJ with Alex Smith so far. Then I want to spend the rest of our picks on 1-2 DB's, 1-2 TE's, 1 WR or RB and then a few BPA's from rounds 5-7. |
