We are the loser franchise because we never draft worth a shit at any position.

We have the 1st overall pick in a terrible QB class, BUT that doesn't mean we can't get a good QB in a future class. Idk why everyone acts like we have to draft a QB THIS YEAR to change our fortunes?

It's like Dorsey said. He is NOT reaching for a player. He's taking BPA. And this year the BPA is not a QB, as frustrating as that is.

How many consecutive years do you plan on saying that?

With a rookie wage scale in place, what's the ****ing difference? Five million bucks?
It amazes me that CHiefs fans are ok with getting fed shit sandwhiches year in and year out! Anyone who steps back and look at how successful NFL franchises win the big game can see that this shit is the wrong wrong wrong way.

Chiefs making moves sideways.

i could see them doing that.

Trading down and grabbing Fisher or johnson, both can play both tackle positions. imo

iirc Fisher actually played right tackle and some guard in college.

If he can add some weight and improve his strength he could be outstanding

Everything? As I've said multiple times now, it's just Sean Smith and Alex Smith. Now there's this, which is equally disgusting.

**** yourself.

Fisher did play RT in college. Personally, I think its overkill to keep Albert and draft a tackle but that may be the best option.

If Albert has a great year and is healthy, you extend his ass. If he's injured or unproductive, you let him walk and get a comp pick for him (maybe). Either way, you've gotten the 2nd round pick back you gave up for Alex and you didnt "reach" at #1 overall.

After you rape the team that trades up to #1, maybe we can move down again for less then position spot and keep getting picks. That would be pretty neat.

Because guess what, if you draft a LT at 1.1, he's going to eventually want a huge contract as well. Despite whether he's actually better than the guy he replaced. If you want quality stability at the LT position, it's going to cost you and rightly so. Why is it that people are willing to let Albert walk over a few million a year of Hunt's money, but yet wouldn't think twice about spending draft picks on the same position?

It's OK to pay your priority positions. There's lots of positions where you can fill at discount prices. But at LT, it's not worth the risk. Gambling that some unknown you draft will be sufficient is a huge risk. And at 1.1, it's just not worth it.
Ask Chicago how valuable THEY think a LT is. Here's a hint ... Jermon Bushrod

Apparently CP wanted us to pull the goddamn trigger on Mark Sanchez and Jimmy ****ing Clausen.

How they could want either of those POS are beyond reason.

this whole thing wouldn't be my 1st choice but at least that is something that works.

neither Fisher and Johnson should bitch about being put at RT and then we wouldn't be starting such an inexperience OL by keeping Albert for 1 more year.

I'm actually excited to see Albert in a pass first offense with a good qb. I think that will put the move him to guard trade him talk.

I let Tyler Wilson go well before the draft. Apparently Mark Sanchez and Jimmy Clausen were wanted on draft day.
