Signing Paul George would be hilariously stupid. Go for it, Lakers. LeBron won't go there

curious to where Lebron will go this offseason. Landscape has changed compared to last time he made a decision. I don't know who he wants to pair up with or where. You'd think he would want to play with a game changing big man that can do the stuff Lebron can't based on height. (block shots, protect the rim, etc) Since he's been playing with turds at the 5 ever since he came back to Cleveland.

Houston is looking more and more likely, but I still wouldn't write off the Lakers yet.

that would be terrible for the NBA. WCF would basically be the finals and some terrible team in the East would finally be gifted the finals since Lebron would be gone from conference. Basically Houston or Golden State will just 4-0 sweep that crappy East team.

Wouldn't be the first time that's happened. See the Shaq/Kobe Lakers era NBA (was either the Lakers or Spurs coming out of the West) and look at the teams from the East who made the finals in those years (76ers, Pacers, Nets). Pretty sure we'll see the Raptors make their first Finals over the next few years.

Well I'm probably the ONLY Rockets fan that does NOT want LeBron in Houston... I'd like them to win it without him - would mean more in a way. As it is, this year they only have ONE "Official" All Star. IF they manage to win it all this season, it would mean a LOT! Just my opinion though.

Course - with LeBron, the Rockets could likely win many NBA Titles - maybe even in a row - so there's that....BUT would that really be good for the league? Just one more example of a Super Loaded Team dominating the league year after year. That somewhat cheapens it in my view. But I guess that's the nature of things in the NBA these days, so....

Will we have to hear any more about the try-hard Celtics being legit contenders in the East or can we give that up early this year?

That narrative was finished in Game 1 when Hayward broke his ankle. They don’t have enough offense without him plus they are super young.

Didn't seem finished a week ago when Boston was still getting hyped up as some kind of threat in the East.

This Cavs trade should be investigated by the league.

Why? They simply exchanged their older scrubs for younger scrubs. The Cavs aren't suddenly good because of that trade. It's still just LeBron, Love (when healthy) and some other guys. As long as LeBron was on either version of the Cavs this year, they were always going to make the Finals.
