Just met Richard Hatch at a sci-fi con here. VERY nice guy. Very down to earth, personable. Gave fans all the time in the world. Doesn't look 63, either.
Aaron Douglas and Tahmoh Pennikett were supposed to be here too, but had to cancel because of shooting the final 2 BSG episodes went long. |

I don't think that's necessarily the case. We already know, via Sharon (aka Athena, aka Boomer) that the regular skinjob females are capable of getting pregnant. As such, there is no reason to assume that the regular skinjob males have necessarily remained impotent throughout their evolution. Sharon represented the next stage in the evolution of Cylon females, doing what even the Cylons had believed to be impossible by getting pregnant by a human (unless Helo turns out to be the final model, which is possible, although the teaser wants us to think it is Laura Roslin), and she's not one of the final five. It seems most likely that 6 got pregnant by Tigh, but if the males evolved along with the females, then it could be possible for the regular skinjobs, not just the final five, to mate with each other.

Is he the only one from the original series who has appeared in the new incarnation of BSG? Admittedly, I haven't been paying close attention to the extras and bit roles throughout the series, but I haven't noticed any of the others. I would have thought Dirk Benedict might have made an appearance at some point.

Just got around to watching t last week's episode.
I liked it, but it was strange. It was like they were trying to advance the storyline as fast as they could in one episode (possibly because they have some heavy shit coming up?). Loved seeing Lampkin back, but I thought his part got a bit too overly dramatic at the end. Hopefully they keep him around, to help "advise" the new President (and THAT happened much sooner than I anticipated). Best part of the show was the look on Tighe's face when Adama told him he'd changed since New Caprica. Heh. Like I said, the episode just had a "rushed" feeling to it. It was probably the weakest episode so far, but it will most likely be that pivotal part of the season. |

I just watched the teaser for tonight's ep. I hope the show as a whole is more interesting than the first 5 minutes.
(And it should be, judging by last week's preview and the spoiler clips during the title sequence) Actually, check that. Hopefully the show is more exciting. The teaser was interesting, but not a lot happened. They've had some awesome teasers in the past. This was not one of them. |

That episode was amazing. It was...different, somehow. The music (and the whole ambiance) of the space battle. Roslin's visions. Deanna's quip about Roslin being one of the 5.
And I still have no idea where this is leading. Although I think they're on earth much sooner than I anticipated. Like next week. And I can't believe the 5 (or 4) are revealing themselves. I almost wish I hadn't watched this season, because the wait for next year is going to be brutal. I know we're getting a knife to the gut cliffhanger next week. I just know it. |

As keg in kc said, the battle sequences were perfect, and I liked the 8's speech to the pilots beforehand. Nice touch. When the Hub went...looked like it took a couple of basestars with it as well. Silly cylons....a hub? They couldn't afford a router? Baltar's confession and Roslin's response might have been one of the best scenes either of those two have had in the series. It made up for the only weak point in the episode (IMO), both of them screaming at the crazy cylon bathtub lady. Also, Olmos's performance in Roslin's last flashback really got to me. D'anna is probably my favorite of the skinjobs. Not as hot as 6 or 8, but the attitude is great. Add that to the fact she killed Cavil...again! "About Time". Perfect ending to the episode. I'm not too proud to admit Olmos and McDonnell left me a little choked up on that one. Next week will be the mother of all cliffhangers I'm sure. I suspect a big part of the last half of season 4 is going to be devoted to protecting the fleet (and Earth?) from the remaining 1,4, and 5 models who are very, very, pissed off.

(I think) I know a little more about next week than I want to. If what I think happens happens, well, it's setting up an interesting second half.
(I'm only talking about one specific event, I don't know very much about the episode as a whole, fortunately - I've grown anti-spoiler in my old age) |
