Yeah, straight up that's a deal. But......what else does it take to make that deal palatable to Colorado?

I think it will be way too much for my fan tastes. Emptying the minors and being bad for 3-4 years with Arrenado makes no sense to me.

No clue. Would imagine Reyes, and perhaps Carson Kelly, would be an intriguing starting point.

I'd figure on it taking more than that.

Reyes, Bader and Fernandez seems in the ballpark. Guys like Flaherty and Weaver are going to be less attractive for them given that they profile more like Butler; not raw gas but more 'pitch mix' guys that tend to get their asses kicked in Colorado.

Fernandez throwing 100 to go with Reyes and a guy with freakish batspeed like Bader who's power would play up in Colorado would seem like nice fits.

And hell, see if anyone will assign value to Garcia since we clearly do not. And as a parting gift for burying him behind guys he's outperformed at every stop, send him to Colorado to build that value up.

I would imagine some kind of MLB ready player would have to be involved and 2B probably makes the most sense. LaMehieu would most likely replace him at 3rd, leaving 2B open.

Make Garcia the starting 2b in Colorado and I'm convinced he'd manage a .300 BA and an OPS in the .780+ range.

He just takes quality at bats. Those kinds of players are easy to spot; guys that make pitchers work. Rarely will a guy go out there and carve Garcia apart like pitchers have been doing to Wong for months now.

Maybe send Holliday back to them as a 1B. They have a platoon at 1B with Mark Reynolds being the RH version. Move him to 3rd and have Holliday platoon.
