Come on.

Surely you can agree the chances that Geno would have been the right pick at #1 overall have shrunk exponentially.

They were saying on the NFLN that some of the teams at the top of the 2nd are going to want to trade down. If we can deal Albert for what I want(#54 and #77 or #82) we'll have plenty of ammo to do so if we want to. This being the case I don't know that this thread is all that bad.

Now they just said that Dorsey said he's trying to get Ireland on the phone.

Okafor intrigues me the most out of all of them

If we are going to draft a QB to ride pine behind Smith and Daniel, this isn't the year to find one with the depth being horrible

Though I'm going off topic here, anything over six wins is overachieving for the roster as it stands now. Who's going to be starting inside with DJ?

Who can play center? Who's playing guard? If Albert gets traded, then you're looking at Schwartz and Asamoah as your most veteran players on the starting line -that's not a recipe for a winning season with a very limited QB in Alex Smith at signal caller.

Barring offensive line considerations, who's going to shoulder the load receiving along with Bowe? Avery? Fasano? Will Andy Reid try and force Jamaal / McCluster into a poor-man's Brian Westbrook role?

The lions need a LT about as badly as the Dolphins do.

We won't get Geno, probably won't get Barkley either (as the 49ers still need a backup QB), but we could get Minter, Brown, Woods or Hunter.

Sold.

Yeah I can agree with that. I guess the point I was trying to make to Donger was just because the other teams think one way, it doesn't mean all teams need to think that way.

Look at the Bills. They're getting destroyed today, seemingly deservedly so. But in three years, if Manuel is on his second pro bowl season, they can turn around and scream "WHO'S THE reerun NOW???"

You just have to decide what is best for the team, and stick with it no matter what. /obvious

I don't know if they have the cap room to take on that $9 million Franchise Tag.
