Matt cassell trade talk is stupid

He got a qb coach that turned Joe Flacco into a success. I think he can improve let give him one more year. If he fail then fire his ass then hit him with an aid tree douse him with anti freeze and then he die in a fire and let stanzi lead.

It's coming up on 30 years FFS. Do you not see a correlation here?

I disagree completely. I think the link to the Lounge should read as following:

The Lounge (163 Viewing)
This forum is fast and furious with all variety of topics being
discussed. Matt Cassel trade talk threads welcomed. If you don't enjoy
reading them, don't be shy - please jump into an AIDS fire and die.

I can say this.

Cassel DESERVES to enter next year as the UNQUESTIONED STARTER.

He showed a lot of improvement in his play from his first year to second year in KC. With the coaching staff we have in place and adding Baldwin to the weapon pool, he could blossom into a good passer.

He is already a good leader, couple that with his work ethic and thats a good start to what you want in a quarterback from an off the field perspective.

Now, somewhere this upcoming year (if its played) we will find out if he is a guy we should continue to grow with or if we should put the position on the front burner. These defenses have plenty of film on how to confuse and disrupt Cassel and now its time to see if he can step up again and overcome that.

BUT

If he plays like he did the last two games, were gonna be screwed.

The things a lot of us pointed out (lacking accuracy, arm strength, playmaking ability, field vision) as things we saw as deficiencies in his game that were of things "you either have or you dont" could be exposed...or he could work on them enough to overcome them.

Time will tell.

I am pulling for the guy and am cautiously optimistic at this point.

Do you have any idea how many franchises have drafted a QB in the 1st round in the last 29 years and still didn't win a SB with that pick/player?

I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with shitty early Vermeil-era defensive linemen tonight.

We talk about Nate Hobgood-Chittick on here way more than we talk about Ransom or Clemons. What's wrong with us? Those were our two best linemen in 2002 for ****'s sake!
