When he won @DEN with a bunch of backups, and for the most part, looked good doing it. Made a bad pass or 2, which was expected, but the win perked my ears up. He made big plays when he had to in a tough cold road environment.
The Steelers game was the real test, and he passed it w/ flying colors. He passed the eye test, made it look easy. He wasn't rattled in the pocked, he looked like a poised veteran and was throwing passes on ropes, and in places where only our receivers could catch it. If he continues this hot streak, esp if the OL gets better (more consistent), he's going to do some ridiculous things stat wise. Move over DV years, Mahomes is going to shatter a lot of those records and he's gonna laugh while doing it. Priest will give him the Nacho salute from the owners box. - Too much surrounding talent - A QB that wants to wing it all over the field, gets a ****ing hard on for lighting up the scoreboard. - A coach that is very pass-happy, and can call any play because he knows he has a QB with the arm and balls to make every throw. - A good RB to fall back on when needed

I’ll be honest, I’ve loved Pat the whole time, but I’ve been worried he wouldn’t live up to expectations. Not because of him, but because Chiefs. For some reason that first TD pass to Conley last week did it for me. The penalty pushed us back and then he proceeded to not give a f***, look off the Safety, and hit Conley in stride.
I thought, AS11 would have immediately settled for a FG in his mind. Then it hit me, we’ve never had anything like this... hell, I’m not sure any team has. Then he goes on to throw five more TDs. Folks, I don’t have to tell any of you, but we have something very special!

RIGHT?!? Lol It’s still so surreal to me. I mean, this just doesn’t happen to us.

A few months before the draft I watched everything YouTube had on the top QB's. Mahomes' play varied between good and unbelievable. There was no question who the best QB was. Listening to draft "experts" say Mahomes was a 2nd round talent with bad footwork was maddening. Anyone who makes a living evaluating talent or commenting on sports who didn't recognize Mahomes was a top-of-the-draft talent, should quit or be fired. The LSU game alone tells you everything you need to know about Mahomes.

Watching him in preseason last year made me realize that we finally have a real qb with a ton of upside. After the game last year, I was sold on the fact that he has everything to be special. Now for the first time in many years, I find myself wanting to watch everything I can concerning the Chiefs. He has made football fun for me again.

In college. He's got that perfect mix of confidence, cocky, and the talent to back it up.

When I admitted I fapped to the thought him leading our offense to a forum full of (mostly) men and was not only accepted, but also told this wasn't gay. I knew then.

He's not an NFL quarterback. The league will catch up with him soon. Then he'll bust. The Broncos will expose him in Mile High on Monday night. Chris Harris will get 3 picks and Roby will get 2 more. / Kramzitinhisrectum

After last week at Pit
I had really liked him up to that point, but that Pitt game sealed the deal for me. After years of looking at every game like “yeah, I could see the Chiefs winning, but I could also see them shitting their pants” (the decades old “which Chiefs team will show up today”.)..now I look at games like, “we’re winning this game”.

That throw in the Bengals game was the first time I realized Mahohomes had potential to be really good...but I need time to see more first. When he repeated his amazing touch against the Titans I saw franchise potential. Against Denver, I finally saw superstar potential..it was his third crazy bullet under pressure that showed supernatural anticipation...and proved the others weren't a fluke.
When he came out in Pittsburgh after halftime and they had all the momentum and tied the game...then drove the opening drive for a beautiful TD, I knew he could be possibly generational. That was Montana-esque...just unaffected by another teams momentum and cool/relaxed under pressure. That was the "It" factor for me...killing it when the stakes are high. There wasn't any real pressure on him in the preseason/Denver...the losses didn't matter. QBs starting their 3rd game just dont look like this...I've never seen one this poised, this early. That's the crazy part...he's just going to get better. Last edited by BlackOp; 09-22-2018 at 10:15 AM.. |
