Heartbreaking and very upsetting story

To anyone that is a parent this would be very devasting Im a very proud father of my kids and when I read this story and saw the boys picture my heart broke Especially considering the guy that killed him had 16 prior arrests

Keep his family in your prayers

If you've ever been hit by somebody driving without insurance, or with a revoked license, it sucks. I had a guy hit my wife a few years back. He had no insurance, no drivers license. Cops let him walk out of the police station and DRIVE AWAY.

Unreal.

unlike most on here, i won't advocate breaking the law. should anyone that is currently without a license drive? no. but simply because someone doesn't currently have a license does not make them and unsafe driver per se.

I had a guy slam into the back of my parked car.....and he was drunk and had no insurance. He ran but was so drunk that he tried stealing a car 2 blocks away.

The cops showed up.....put him in the back of the cop car and he proceeded to try and kick out the back window of the car.

I saw him the next day walking down the street. He said he wasn't driving the car....that it was his "friend" who ran away.

My insurance company ended up paying me money to get my car fixed....but they never got any money out of the family.

I'm willing to bet there is a strong correlation there.

You ARE advocating breaking the law in these posts, imo.

I'm in favor of suspending the licenses of first time drunk drivers, along with a couple of weeks in jail. A second offense would be a year in jail. I would also be way harder on all repeat traffic law offenders. I would up the fines for speeding and all forms of reckless driving, along with suspending licenses. Basically, I would make it very expensive and difficult for jackasses who have no consideration for the safety of others to continue operating a vehicle.

There are too many lives are lost and too many families destroyed by drunks and/or people who are just plain careless drivers. Seems like I read about a few traffic deaths every week, so many of them avoidable. It makes me very sad and very angry.

WTF?

Seriously, MOST people who drive without a license are doing so for a reason - they were busted for doing something illegal while driving. By definition, that makes them an unsafe, if not an unwise, driver.

Maybe he should ride a bike.
