Can we fire this stupid mf'er now?

Can anyone provide a rational explanation as to why Herm should still be the coach tomorrow morning?

Remember when Tennessee fans were all for firing Fisher a couple years ago? Not saying we shouldn't fire Herm, just simply stating how funny that is now.

Herm coached a good game for 59 1/2 minutes but managed to get his 17th loss in 18 games. We got extremely lucky to score on that possession and should have taken the points and the momentum.

I'm sure some of you will say this was "showing confidence" in the offense. Bullshit. It was a reckless decision.
you're 1-7, if you are 4-4 or better, sure play for ot. if they'd kicked it went to ot and lost all you'd hear was that he didn't have the guts to go for the win. going for two worked for me there.

The D was a mash unit out there. Backups and even a few guys signed off the street. You don't take a chance of them having to stop that Charger offense again when you have a chance to win the game right there.

I agree when you're talking about the difference between 1-8 and 2-7. I'm not talking about the victory...I don't give a rat's ass about that.

My concern is the reerun that's coaching our team. We will never...never...be successful with this guy at the helm. He's a moron.

This had desperation and stupidity written all over it. The odds of making a 2point conversion are considerably less that 50%, particularly with our team. You go to OT and try for the win there. End of story.

And no, had they tried the PAT and missed I'd have blamed the long snapper/holder/kicker, not Herm. Going for the PAT is the automatic (and sane) call and if it's blown that's not on the coach. You go for 2 if you need 2 to tie or extend your lead to a place beyond what the other team can achieve. That's it.

Exactly-factor in crowd noise-and are chances were like 10%. Lame call by a complete idiot.

If we go to overtime, win the game, and improve our record to 2-7 does that qualify us for a playoff spot? WTF?

You might not. That's arguable. I'll wait for that argument.

The one about how holding a team to HALF OF THEIR AVERAGE PPG is a poor performance.

Enlighten me...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

And our defense was pretty winded. The chargers would have just marched down and scored on us.

Dude, we have lost 16 out of 17 games. We are going nowhere this year. Our defense sucks normally and its so riddled with injuries that they are getting sympathy from the opposing side.

You play to win the game......Now sitting on that lead and playing conservative wasn't playing to win the game but the last play was the right call.
