Looking for the positives on a very bleak day LJ is almost there.

12/17/05 post Giants Game Update

LJ now has 1420 yards with 2 games to go.

Needs to average 40 yards per game for the last 2

Barring injury it is a done deal.

Wow, yea he is...he could have been a 2000 yard back this year if he started from the beginning. He is amazing to watch run the football.

if he ever masters blocking or comes close there willbe no stopping him. just hope it dosnt go his head. he will also cost the chiefs a ton of money in the near future.

I predict a holdout before that happens Carl (the tough SOB) has him inked through 2009 so he is not getting mo money easily.

LJ made it already!!!

LJ now has 1549 and did it in 15 games and only 8 as a starter.

He only needs 125 total offensive yards next week for 2000 total yards, that folks is impressive.

1500 yards is a great accomplishment.

But the "only started X games" thing doesn't really mean much. He's received a lot of carries on the year, regardless of starter or not.

Personally, I don't like the idea of him averaging 30+ touches per game over the last 8 weeks. It's great to have a workhorse until you run him into the ground.

Correct me if I'm wrong Logical, but it seems LJ has a very realistic chance of being the AFC rushing champion for 2005 and a tiny chance at being the NFL rushing champion... in only 9 starts...

Alexander now has 1778 yards for the year so I doubt the tiny chance of NFL rushing champion is going to happen and Tiki has 1657... so LJ still does have an outside chance at being 2nd in the NFL

DAMN!

AFC yes, NFL no way, Shaun Alexander at this point in their game today is over 200 yards ahead of him and still playing.

Tiki is also well over a 100 ahead of him and he will definitely be playing next week.

Yeah, and with Tiki playing Chokeland next week, I'd say he' pretty much got second place wrapped up... still 3rd in the NFL in a little over 1/2 a season as the starter....
