Huard supporters were right.

About 2 months back only a few Huard supporters stood up to the Green click here on chiefsplanet. Hootie, GoChiefs, etc. I think everyone whom swore Green was Da Man needs to give these guys some rep for their football knowledge. You Green supporters know who you are Milkman....................Come on. LOL

Still, you have to take that chance in the playoffs, IMO.

The game would've changed, maybe not for the better, but you have to give the team that chance...especially when the week before Huard relieves Green and drives down for the score.

The perplexing thing is the wr's dropping balls in Indy, but making circus cathces with Huard.

The game is eighty percent mental, and I can't help but think that the brain injury lingered in every players mind...waiting for some other shoe to drop...or that it already had

Instead of pulling Green and giving him the chance to fight another day..he finished him off in alot of peoples minds. Not fair to trent, and not fair to the fans... and not fair to the players...you have to give your team any and every opportunity to win..

I had almost gave up on Green after he earned the TrInt nickname, and he turned out to be the best QB the Chiefs have seen in way to long. I think I will give him the offseason to see if he improves.

Having seen what Huard looked like when the Chiefs can't run, it looked almost like the playoff game.

He gets one game with the pressure of another QB coming in behind him and he pissed down his leg. Huard is not the second coming of Christ some of you chuckleheads make him out to be. That 41-7 drubbing we took in Pittsburgh with Master Huard at the helm wasn't so grand either.

I swear some of you guys have VERY selective memories.

Ditto Pittsburgh. Bullshit about giving rep for wanting to keep Huard in at the time. Hindsight is 20/20. At the time, most of us were expecting Green to come back and play at or near the level he was before the injury. It was only in the following weeks that it became obvious he was not the same. I still maintain that Huard is not the answer for this team. He did real well against shitty defenses, with the exception of San Diego. I'm not saying Green is the answer either. It's time to look to the future at QB.

I thought more about the game at work today and got all pissed off again. I just can't get over this game. We're not talking about a bad offensive performance, we are talking about a complete abortion of any kind of a gameplan. Absolutely unacceptable to play that bad on offense. One year removed from the #1 offense.

I was fully against Green coming back and getting his old job back given what Huard had been able to do, but more importantly my main concern was that Green would not be able to come back a 100% b/c of the injury. It would not have been in the best interest of the team to put him back in as a starter. The loyalty issue should not have played such a factor in making the decision. It was the wrong call, but I have to say that ultimately we would have failed in the end no matter what given the HC's and OC's lack of competence in running a dynamic O.

Oh, I agree that Huard should have been put in at halftime of the play-off game. A lot of desperate moves were needed at that point.

I don't agree that Huard should have remained the starter after Green recovered though, which is was I gathered was being implied with a statement like "the Huard supporters were right".

I think Herm left Green in because it was only 9-0 and he realized that Green was 2 out of 7 but three of his passes had been dropped and there was no running game.

I guess you can argue that Huard would have given the team a spark, but...meh.

And somewhere, somehow, someone actually PAYS you to write about football?

I hear the Force.net is looking for writers to cover the Star Wars television series. Why don't you start posting over there - it's obvious you know more about Obi-Wan Kenobi than you do football.

GoChiefs can't take the fact that he switched bandwagons when Green came back...and now he can't admit he was wrong.

Huard was our shot at winning a playoff game. Herm ****ed us over.

I wasn't wrong. Huard showed what he was made of in Miami. He wasn't taking this team anywhere and probably would have lost against Oakland, too.

Seriously. Can anyone imagine how poorly Huard would have played without Gonzalez? It would have been a nightmare.

I want to hear how Huard would have done better than 19 out of 24 passing. That's what Green would have been if the receivers hadn't choked.

Does anyone here remember the last time Huard tried to play quarterback without a running game?

It was in PITTSBURGH.

hahahaha...

Green played ONE good game, and in that game, HE STILL MADE ERRORS that cost us.

Huard played ONE bad game and TWO average games, and FIVE fantastic games.
