Eh, we're not thinking of that type of thing. I read a study the other day that found that between 75-85% of all "work from home jobs" listed online are scams. If it's something legit, like the daycare thing, I could see putting some money into it initially. But the "pay us $500 and we'll tell you how to make millions" jobs are crap 99% of the time.

LOL... You guys crack me up
I don't know if it's jealousy, arrogance, or what, but why do people that know little about finance/business always want to play the role of the expert (especially if it means they can put someone else down)? Here's the actual numbers in the US today for people reaching the age of 65 and retiring: 1% are wealthy 4% are financially independent 45% are dependent upon the government or family for financial survival 50% cannot retire So if an average existance is what you aspire to, then by all means keep doing what 95% of everyone else does (and ridicule the 5% that don't). Tell yourself that you're a victim and that rich people must have scamed somebody to get rich. Keep that 40 hr a week job (that's slowly becomming 50 & 60 hrs) and tell yourself that you'll be fine after 40 years of working to make someone elses dream come true (who gets rich, the employee or the company owner?). Don't ever go into business for yourself and if you do, make sure it's a small business that has no chance of making you wealthy... and if you ever fail in business, don't ever, ever, ever try again. The reality is that rich/successful people think very differently than the average person. It's our thoughts that keep us poor. When you hear highly successful people decry our school system for not teaching kids how to think, this is what they're talking about. Personally, I realize that most people just want to 'get by' (that's what makes them average) and if that's what they want I'm ok with it ~ it's not my place to tell people what they should want out of life. But there are those that want more out of life and are just looking for people to learn from. Those are the fun people to work with and I don't personally know a highly successful entrepaneur that doesn't delight in sharing his hard earned wisdom. There's a third type of person though that, although only having average ambitions in life, want to tell everyone else how to run theirs. They tend to have a less than positive outlook on life and seem to enjoy casting aspersions on others (whether it's coaches, GMs, network marketers, different religions, etc.). Regardless of your own personal ambitions, if you find yourself around this type of person, run. They are poisen to the soul and you may have to dissasociate yourself from them no matter how 'good' of friends they might be. Everyone has choices in life and everyone models themselves after one or more other people. Some do this consciously, most don't. I encourage people to live their life on purpose and make good choices. This is the land of the free and nowhere on the planet is there more opportunity. The old admonition 'Know thyself' is some of the best advice ever written. Decide what you want in life and don't give the dream stealers an ear. Luz never take financial advice from someone not making the kind of money you want to make... |

I love reading justifications for stealing from stupid people and calling it entrepeneurial spirit. Hell, Ron Popeil made a billion dollars doing it.

Ask Luzap, who is so wealthy he is typing from the deck of his 200' yacht, greased in vasaline, wearing nothing but a speedo and a 4' foam cowboy hat with a 2' foam dollar sign on the front.....
Ask him how many people buy into his scheme each year....and what percentage EVER get their money back, and then what percent become wealthy or finanically independent. I've seen piles of these stories come and go over the year, and I've gone along for the ride a few times to check it out.....I've been going to be rich from Amway, Excel Phone service, Mutual fund sales and on and on and on...NONE of the people who were going to make me rich, are still doing it...even the "sucess story" regional managers. You make money as long as suckers keep uploading their loot. period. If at any point during the meeting, they have to disclaim that "this isn't anything like amway, you just have to....."....its a scam for 99.9% of the Suckers...I mean, "investors". Luz quotes "its the land of the Free"...and for $599, he'll show you how! Luzap forgot to post the fine print "results not typical". |

I remember some of my friends parents coming to me after college graduation and they wanted me to do this thing where I buy people's utilities or some plan. They were obsessed with this plan that they pushed and pushed it on me then basicly were like you are stupid for not getting into this.

Using canned lines like "never take financial advice from someone not making the kind of money you want to make" that are taken straight out of the Snake Oil Salemsman's handbook doesn't help your position. You are what you are, say it and be proud. It makes no difference to me how you make your money but please don't pour syrup on shit and say you have pancakes.
