Herb Taylor will start next season. But where?
He played very well at LT in the preseason.

But he's only played "pretty good" since, and it's not hard to see why.

He's stepped in to play LT, RT, and RG at multiple points this season. We're asking Herb Taylor to back up our entire line.

Which tells me, of course, that the Chiefs really want this guy on the field. But where have you noticed him playing best?

I think he can excel at RT, but he didn't play too bad inside for the couple series he was in at RG yesterday.

I would ask Herb Taylor where he is most comfortable playing...Right Guard or Right Tackle. Whichever answer he gives, then that's where he would start next season.

I think Taylor is extremely gifted, and needs to start on this O Line. He is obviously an upgrade over McIntosh at RT, and a better prospect than Jones at RG. I give the guy the spot, and draft or sign a FA to finish the job on the O Line.

I am also of the opinion that Niswanger has played pretty well at Center this season. Is he a Pro Bowler, no. But he does play the pass and run well, and is learning on the fly after a significant injury last season. Leave him where he is at.

If we drafted Freeman in the 2nd rd I would ****ing shoot everyone involved with selecting that draft pick.


that would be the worst selection in the entire draft. Freeman isn't worth more than a 5th rd pick

What players on this Offensive Line are actually playing the same position they did in College?

I really hate all of the position changes this organization is so in love with.

I'd expect that from an untested tackle or raw prospect, but not a left tackle for a premiere football program like Clemson.

I never understood the hype behind Richardson. He's not playing because his feet are too slow. I don't see nearly as much potential in Richardson as everyone else does.

I'm willing to wait on Taylor, though the Chiefs need to be aggressive in finding a real RT whether early in the draft (2nd or 3rd round) or through free agency (Jordan Gross anyone?). I'd also like to see Niswanger move to Right Guard sooner rather than later, though I don't think this will happen until after the 2008 season.

The starters right now are actually very good depth. But they can't be our primary starters. Hopefully Gailey will have the influence to demand that the team shore up their o-line.
