GIF'D UP! 2009

During the preseason Bernard Pollard sucked. I gif'd that fool up. He got cut. The gifs didn't lie!

The Chiefs are going to suck this year. Every week, someone's getting gif'd up. At least one person. Probably a lot more.

We're gonna point out every fraud on this football team!

First up: Branden Albert (moved to post #2 by DaFace)

But the Jamaal Charles whipped some ass of his own. Terrell Suggs' ass, to be exact.

To be fair, it looks like noone knows exactly what they're supposed to be doing in these gifs. Especially the first one, Niswanger looks like he thinks he blocks right, and Waters looks like he thought he'd be outside. Although, in the Albert fail post, his all seem to be suckage.

Makes me wonder how much they have changed pass protection and how many times...

That's not an excuse.

It just accentuates the FAIL.

Not only do we suck, we don't know precisely HOW we're supposed to suck.

I don't think the 2nd Albert Gif is too terrible, Brody had time to complete his drop, pump fake and pat twice. Croyle took too damn long to get rid of the ball. The third one isn't good, but it could be worse. Part of being an O-lineman is using the rusher's own momentum to take him out of the play. It looks like Albert attempted to do so and just didn't quite pull it off. He'll get that figured out. He sure is playing high, though.

As for the defense GIFs, I'll say the same thing I always said with Pollard - open field tackles are MFing hard. Really MFing hard. I remember every damn one of those things I ever made in HS because they ain't the easiest thing to pull off. If we keep ending up with guys on islands facing ballcarriers that haven't even been slowed down, we're going to keep looking stupid.

As the defense gets more talent/time, you'll see more gang tackling. There are very few guys in this league that are capable of consistently making an open-field tackle so until we see massive improvement across the entire unit, we're going to keep seeing those GIFs. Those are an indictment on the defensive unit in general as much as they are shots at the individuals directly mentioned, IMO.

And that's twice we've seen Charles kill someone, he's a fearless blocker back there and seems like a tailor-made 3rd down back.

Wow if Albert doesn't become a stud for us, we got raped on the JA deal.
I'm gonna chock it up to the first game. He looked really solid last season. Losing weight doesn't destroy footwork. MM is right though, he does look as though he lost some punch.
We'll see.

I would love it if the players knew about being gif'd up, and would either look forward to their big plays making it, or dread their mistakes being exposed.
Good work Clayton.

I think the 2nd and 4th are not really all his fault, 2nd one Albert is protecting for a 7 step drop and Brodie steps up 4 steps. On the 4th one, it looks like it wasn't his guy, the two guys on the outside had him and he was watching for someone to come in on a blitz, the outside guys let the guy get by and he tries to stop him, but too late.

I already know who our candidates are this week:

ASS WHIP OF THE WEEK: Monty Beisel. He got leveled, and I mean ****ing leveled, by Michael Bush.

ASS WHIPPER OF THE WEEK: This one is easy. Dwayne Bowe knocked the shit out of Thomas Howard. ****in' a.

I'm pretty sure Ndukwe is getting gif'd up. He made Greg Ellis' ancient ass look like Julius Peppers.

Whif of the week should go to Waters. He blew a pull in spectacular fashion early on in the game.
