This is a damn shame. Say what you want, but Meg brought a visceral quality to the band. She sure as shit wasn't a technical drummer, but it worked.
"Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" was the song that woke me up to a new world of music after years of listening to Creed, Blink 182, and so much other shit. They are my Nirvana. They'll always be one of my favorite bands. If you didn't like them before, watch this video and tell me they don't ****ing rock. |

I suppose it sounds like hyperbole, but now one of the greatest regrets of my life will be that I never got to see The White Stripes in concert.
