HI BRC: I think most of the posters on this board think you're a good egg. This whole deal today got way out of hand based on what this thing really was, two angry guys having an exchange. Some of the questions that have been asked, here's some feedback: Jack Harry sent me an email on Monday and asked me if Haley really did this, and to describe what happened. I sent Jack a lengthy explanation and said "you should ask the coach if he had a run in with a fan after the game, and if Coach used an obscene gesture." I also told him that EDITED NAME, sitting next to me, also saw this go down, and he could email EDITED NAME and get his input. EDITED NAME gave the same explanation. Mrs. Blowfish was seated on my right. She also saw this happen, but she's a EDITED PROFESSION, and the last thing I wanted was to get her mixed up in this.

In journalism terms, these are three witnesses too closely related to collaborate the story. I did not ask Jack to talk about this publicly, and I don't think he should have until he had gathered better evidence. I think he should have waited until he could find another positive witnesses to confirm what happened. He did not lie to the public, his commentary was accurate. But neither EDITED NAME or I encouraged him, we just answered his questions the best we could. Apparently the press had not been able to locate anybody else to confirm the story, and probably the only others who saw it happen (it was real fast, just a quick gesture lasted only a second) were the Chiefs own security guys, and they're not going to risk their jobs by ratting out the coach. No photos, no other witnesses, so the easy PR thing is deny everything. And discredit the source of the criticism. No pictures, he said she said, and Game Over.

I see no good in pressing on this any further, unless somebody else can confirm what we saw. It pisses me off that I'm now suspected of being a liar. All I can do is tell the truth, and I've done that since the beginning of this whole mess.

I hope you and the rest of the CP understand while I let this thing play itself out. CP has a great bunch of fans, and are smart enough to know when the PR is being pulled over their eyes. Perhaps you'll welcome me back later and consider my thoughs with an open mind and with reputation in tact. Merry Christmas, the best to you, all the CP and families. Bingo. That's what I discovered in my situation, the person in the media that I spoke to regarding it left out key pieces of information and slightly embellished some things when he reported it to make it seem worse than it actually was.

I believe George for obvious reasons: no motive to lie; he didn't make a big deal of it when he first reported it; he's been a straight shooter here for years; has witnesses (even though they are not unbiased); and he likes the Chiefs.

Haley has an out of control temper, was very upset, has every motive to lie, and was evasive in his answer denying it.

gblowfish is more of a hero really. He said the same thing I screamed 100+ times watching that crappy team get coached to yet another loss. I for one am glad you stood up to this injustice thats been put on the field. If anything, the Haley should have been flipped off because his coaching makes Herm Edwards look like Marty Schottenheimer!
He can't admit it because then they would look like hypocrites for getting rid of LJ for simular behavior. You just don't mess with the fans, esp when they sit through that crap product they put out on the field.

What the hell? Harry didn't expose shit. And in the process, he all but gave out the social security number of someone who clearly doesn't want the attention this has brought.

Harry should be beaten and left in a ditch.

I used to be in the circus. Lion tamer. I loved it. The smell of the greasepaint ... the roar of the crowd ... you know how it is ...

Then, one day, my best lion (Billy was his name) bit off my leg. I stuck some straw and mud on the stub and finished the show, but I could never look at Billy again without thinking about how he ate my damn leg. A week or so later, while all the other circus people were asleep, I sneaked into the animal cages and threw a big bucket of black tar on Billy's head. I felt a little better after that, but I had to leave the circus and take a job selling stocks and bonds.

I'll go one step further. Why should we assume that Haley's denial is self chosen? It is possible that management made that decision.

I posted on here that LJ had a broken bone in his foot. Everybody (Local and national) was reporting it as a sprained abkle. For two full days before any national or local media had the story, the Planet had the story for free with no motivation other than to share info with fellow Chief fans. I was trashed for posting BS, for posting lies, called a liar. Wellll we know how that turned out.....
