Well, our first 2nd round pick will have to be modified. Miller is going back to school.

That would be dumb as hell.

You're drafting a LT when you have no clue if he'll be better than Albert. You're moving Albert to LG after spending his first 2 years in the NFL at LT. And then lastly you're moving ancient Waters to the OC position...which he hasn't done in forever.

Leave Albert where he's at. Put Colin Brown in at RG. Draft a C and a LG...and be done with it.

Yep. Like I said in the other thread, get a top flight center like Pouncey, Tennant, Walton, and then a versatile OL guy like Zane Beadles or Ciron Black who could be plugged immediately into any position on the line depending on who they like and where they like them.

It's a total cop out to say that Marshall is done in Denver (which I agree with) and saying they'll take Bryant as a result, and then not project the trade.

That's a total cop out. Either project the trade, or go forward with the mock draft assuming Denver will retain Marshall's rights for one more season.

I don't see them passing on McClain even if Marshall has been traded though.

I disagree my way 3 positions get upgraded with one pick. Not a bad deal.

I think alot of scouts should be dropped for lack of intelligence. I bet a lot of teams are kicking themselves missing out on such a great talent.

No to Okung! No to Okung! No to Okung! While saying that three times click your heels together and you will return to a time when the Chiefs were a dominant franchise. Wow, that sure is a long time ago...
Yep.

Leave Albert where he's at. Put Colin Brown in at RG. Draft a C and a LG...and be done with it.
Further, Albert really showed significant progress over the final quarter of the season, when he became more comfortable with both technique and scheme.
And FTR, even with his struggles, he gave up only 2.5 sacks more than everybody's All Pro, Ryan Clady, and only committed 2 holds to Clady's 1.

Further still, Albert would be required to add some weight back on to play guard, or even RT, because he isn't a road grader, even at the weight he played at last year.

And still even further, Okung isn't as athletically gifted as Albert.

And there's more.
You'd also be moving a guard who is already on the decline, and asking him to play a more physically demanding position.

As to drafting LG, I'd say let's see what Daryl Harris brings, because while I was pretty pleased with how bothe he and Brown looked at LG and RG, respectively, in the preseason last year, I was more impressed with Harris.

Draft a center and a RT.

Leave Albert the hell alone.

I'm not sold on Gilyard because of the lack of competition and system, but I wouldn't complain about the first three picks. Usually, I'd put up more of a fight, but we've got so many holes (including LT where Albert was basically bottom of the barrel grading out) and this draft is neck deep with good safeties and ILB's. If we pick Okung instead of Berry or McClain, there's always these guys that most likely will be there with the Chiefs first second round pick and beyond:

Safeties:
Taylor Mays, USC
Darrell Stuckey, KU
Morgan Burnett, GT
Nate Allen, USF
Chad Jones, LSU
Robert Johnson, UU
Myron Rolle, Oxford
Kam Chancellor, VT
Reshad Jones, UG
Major Wright, UF

ILBs:
Brandon Spikes, UF
Daryll Washington, TCU
Sean Lee, Penn
Pat Angerer, Iowa
Jamar Cheney, Ole Miss
Joe Pawelek, Baylor
Micah Johnson, UK
Daryll Sharpton, UM

The Chiefs are going to have to screw up pretty bad not to get a very good safety AND ILB in this next draft. With the quality available, I'm not so completely concerned about getting either McClain or Berry with the first pick.
