I vaguely recall Brees almost got picked off a few times himself. Come to think of it, I wonder how them chargers fans feel about their discarded QB taking the saints of all teams to the SB?

He absolutely butchered everything about that play. Now would Longwell have hit it? Obviously it's tough to say, that's a long kick with a lot of pressure, but there's really no defending that play. But like I said, that doesn't undo everything he did in that game and this season. If he started for the Vikings again next season, he's still be a top 10 QB. With the pounding he took in this game, I think he's done and I hate to see him go out like that.

In this story Adrian Peterson is Chris Webber, supposedly the best player in the league at his position and a budding superstar and he found himself standing on the sideline because he can't hold onto a ball.

Webber's actually a fair comparison.
King, Howard and Rose were absolutely horrible in that game (Howard plays Peterson's role, he was Fing terrible). Webber's the only reason they didn't lose that game by 15. Webber shoulders an unfair burden for that game. Michigan likely loses even without the T and had his supposed superstar teammates carried their weight, Michigan wins that game.

The bottom line to this game is Favre's a 40 year old man that wasn't suppose to be carrying the team on his back yet he found himself having to do that as the rest of his offense continued to puke on themselves.
The last INT was an awful decision but it never should have come to that. |

I realize that Mecca, but you also have to realize the guy has a HISTORY of doing this.
Favre is who we thought he was.

In the end Adrian Peterson was a ****up that cost his team, he was suppose to be the franchise player not Favre. |

So does Brett Favre come back next season???
Or was that game so emotionally draining, especially the pick he'd like to have back, the final nail in the coffin??? Stay tuned....... |

With that, the dude was a hell of a QB and for every mistake he also made a ****ing ridiculous play to go along with it. With the year he just finished putting together, I'd put up with TNT the media makes from the whole ordeal and Wranglers for that production. He's going to be a Hall of Famer for very good reasons. The Vikings probably wouldn't of even won the NFC North without him. No way in hell Jackson or Rosenfels leads them to a Packer sweep. Shh |

This thread really stands as a great test for one's ability to enjoy football as a spectator sport.
If after watching this game all you get out of it is "Favre choked!" then you are really too stupid to be watching the NFL... |
