This isn't bad for an 80s rig.

In this situation, I'd be buying a white on white 25th anniversary Lamborghini Countach. I wouldn't even worry that an oil change costs $2,500 or something.

You must have quoted the wrong post, because you couldn't possibly have said this about a white on white anniversary edition Lamborghini Countach.

finish school, pay off student loans, nice house somewhere secluded (with reasonably nice weather), a few nice cars, then travel. probably get bored after traveling a few years, then settle into a job doing something productive for society (I'd love to set up an independent public-health type organization with no ties to the government that specializes in virus and bacterial research/prevention)

I'd set up a porn studio for regular guys to come pay to be in a film with a porn star...
I'd have a line out the door of men wanting to be in films |

So nice to think about . . .
1.) I would immediately buy my grandpa's farm. Then I would restore it. I would build an Iowa Farm and History Museum on the property. I would hire a manager to run the farm operation like Polyface Farm in Virginia. I would drive around in a tractor, doing small jobs, pretending like I knew what I was doing, and feed animals, and do little hobbies around the farm, and work on the Iowa Museum. 2.) I would learn Latin, French, and the piano. 3.) I would establish a couple of teaching chairs at Columbus Catholic High School that would fund salaries and benefits from the interest. 4.) I would build a Catholic cultural center and charity in downtown Dubuque, next to the Cathedral. 5.) I would travel to Europe for 6 months 6.) I would pay off my student loans and also my girlfriend's. |
