ST. LOUIS -- Wichita State, which returns four starters from a team that won 25 games last year, has been picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball title in 2010-11. WSU was last picked to win the league in 2003-04 and last earned the league's regular-season title in 2006.

never really understand the Missouri st hate for the shocks? I really have never had a problem with them.

The Shockers are legit. I saw them in person. I'm not sure if they are used to playing in 12,000+ fan arenas, and I felt the crowd in SDSU is the only reason they lost that game. I'm expecting big thangs in the Tournery for the Shox.

well after a blowing a 17 point lead, and end up being behind by 4, my head was about to explode. But after our big 7 footer Garrett Stutz hit a game winning 3 with 7 seconds to go, I guess I will take, I wish this team can get more of a killer instinct. But hey I cant complain we are 8-2 and our only 2 losses are to 2 team in the AP top ten.

Technically SDSU is the AP #11, but the Coaches #10.

Anyways, by Monday they'll be #7 or #8, so its only helping your cause.

Shocks got a blow out win against Evansville in the first game in MVC play 91-57. Had 5 guys in double figures. Next up at Bradley.

Shocks start out 3-0 in the MVC with a 82-63 victory over Drake last night. WSU average margin of victory in its first 3 MVC games is 23 points. As long as both Missouri St and WSU take care of business on Friday night. We will see a big time show down between the only 2 unbeaten teams in MVC at Charles Koch Arena, as we play Missouri St. on Sunday at 7:30 which will be on ESPNU.

Shocks win 5th straight to remain in first place in the MVC (20-4, 11-2 MVC) with a 74-57 victory over Ill State. The only thing that went wrong was Ben Smith consecutive 3 pointer made ended at 7. This team is finally playing what they are capable of, I alway said if they play well together and dont turn the ball over, they are easily the best team in the MVC. I hope they finish the season strong and claim to the MVC Championship.

you only lose the one game at Mo State and then lose in the tourney you will be fine as an at large bid. I think Mo state is already out unless they win the tourney.

Better to have 2 MVC teams in than one.
