Tempur-Pedic beds

Found a good price on one. But are they worth it? Who owns one?

Does it sleep hot at all. That is really the biggest issue for me.

If your sleep number is adjusted correctly, you'll never touch the middle of the bed. I've found that I don't roll around nearly as often as I did on a regular mattress.

Of course, the same is true of the Tempur.

i've adjusted mine once since i've had it(2-3 years). that was because i did some online test that told you what # worked best for you. i thought it was bullshit at first, but it actually seemed to improve my sleep.

interesting. most of the people I've seen online mentioned that they have to "top off" their beds every month or so.

Probably depends on your sleep number. I could see where somebody with a sleep number of 70 or higher might need to top off more often...

The ole "you have to know what you're doing" argument.

I had that thing for 2 years and tried several different settings. If there was some special way to "tune it" that wasn't common knowledge then I guess I dropped the ball.

The memory foam topper that I got at Costco doesn't require any tuning and I sleep like a log.

They should have told you at the Select Comfort store how to tune it. You have to do it laying flat on your back, that's the trick.

Mr. Guru, if you're thinking Tempur-pedic, I've got 2 words for you. Angel beds. Same quality, waaay cheaper. Had mine for 4 years, and it is as good as new.
Get one with a coolmax top; no worries whatsoever about overheating.
