Backups who you would start over Kasl?

Hell... Thiggy may be available now that T-Jack is headed to NY. I always liked Thiggy and never thought he should have been released. In fact, I would start him over Kasl (as well as Quinn & Stanzi) week 1 of this season.

What backups around the league would you start over Kasl and co.?

Thiggy (my QB man crush)
Orton
Leftwich
Hasselbeck
Grossman (not much better than Kasl but he has at least lead a team to the promised land)
Flynn

Why did I start this thread? Because **** you. That's why.

Drew Stanton could be a top five qb if given the chance to start. He's a star in the making.

i'd honestly think I'd start every other starting QB in the league and most rookie backups on this Chiefs team over Cassel at this point.

Yes even John Skelton and Blaine Gabbert

I just feel Cassel is wasting the prime talent of most of our positional players at this point and it is a damn shame. By the time we get a good QB at this rate most of our talent will be pass their prime if we stay the course with Cassel, in terms of our bad luck with a guy like Cassel to always find a way to buy himself another year of excuses on this team, injury, coaching change, lack of talent, no consistency at offensive coordinator, etc. The guy has every excuse going for him in his defense to prolong his career here and it honestly sucks as a fan.

Gabbert's been sharp this preseason. Clearly, coaching was the issue in Jax.

Del Rio sucked.

Shit... I honestly and truthfully believe that Thigpen would give us a better chance than Kasl. In fact, in 08, Thigpen averaged (slightly) more total yards per game than Kasl did in his banner year.

Dude I'd pull Troy Aikman down from the announce booth and use him over Cassel

Exactly my feeling.

At least it would show they're not tied to Cassel. Plus if the guy sucks, you draft a legit QB prospect very early in the first round next year.

That's why, even though I'm pretty well convinced he sucks worse than Cassel, I'd still sink or swim with Stanzi.

There isn't a back up that could come in and start over Cassel right now and the only guy worth trading for was Jackson imo. However, I would like to add a vet in case he struggles in the regular season. Maybe Garrard or Moore will get cut? Thigpen would be a great option. John Parker Wilson just got cut by Atlanta and he has been decent. He's light years ahead of Stanzi.
