In no particular order:
Rocky (only I-III, after that I think they sucked) LOTR Toy Story 1-3 (3 is a great movie) Police Academy Shrek (all of them) Back to the Future (though 2 was iffy) |

LOTR is probably my favorite.
For pure popcorn movies, I really like the Resident Evil movies (though the 4th was a little weak). Underworld is another in that vein. Back to the Future has been mentioned. I saw the first one in the theater but never got around to watching the others. When the trilogy came out on Blu-Ray, I picked it up. Let's just say I am surprised that people are listing the 2nd as the worst. I thought 2 was okay but 3 was awful. |

There was enough concentrated, uncut Pure Awesome in Tango and Cash for a trilogy.

Probably Star Trek, although only five out of the 11 are really good and four of them really stink.
Godfather and Godfather II can't be beat, except by the suck of Sofia Coppola in Godfather III. Alien and Aliens rule, but are dragged down by the crap that came later. Indiana Jones and Last Crusade rule, but Temple of Doom and that last abortion bring them down. The original Bourne movies are great, but they're all essentially the same movie. Original Star Wars movies ****ed up by the new Star Wars movies. If only Lucas had died in fire in 1984. I really liked the original Back to the Future, but really have no desire to ever see 2 and 3 again. Ditto with Matrix. LOTR is probably the most solid all around trilogy. Don't really give a crap about the Bond movies, and I got tired of Harry Potter being a bitch right up until the end of that series. Forgot about Terminator - duh. I liked all of them, and the first two are fantastic. Last edited by Frazod; 09-13-2012 at 06:51 PM.. |
