Not surprising. See my sig to see just how bad the Scooter era was. The 30 pt. losses at Arrowhead are in the past.

Yup. I thought it would take about 2-3 years for RAC to sink the ship. I had no idea he was capable of sinking it that quickly. I don't know how anybody thought he was going to be a good coach.

So we're actually operating like a team again? It's a start.

I was ok with Crennel as HC. I knew shit might go really bad, but the players wanted him, and given how they played at the end of the season while he was interim coach I thought that might mean something. Apparently they got complacent with him real quick. They fought hard for him until he won the job. Kinda reminds me how my mom hired a laid back as hell babysitter for my brother and I. She let us run wild basically, but we wanted her to stay long-term so when my mom was around we cleaned the house and were on our best behavior. Once the babysitter got the job, it was party time lol.
In the end it all worked out for the best. That terrible season got us rid of Pioli and Cassel and the rest of the crapsicles on the staff. Also, some of you ****ers that didn't want Crennel were calling for the normal unrealistic bullshit options like Gruden and Cowher. But what were the other real options for fat Scott? Ferentz? It was gonna be a ****ing disaster with that guy as GM either way. The best he could have done was field a 7-9 type of team, and thank god that shit didn't happen. |

Personally I thought having Crennel as head coach was going to keep our defense at a upward directory and if we got a good OC that Grandpa stood a chance of succeeding. Well we got our answer pretty early it was going to be a disaster on multiple levels.

If I remember correctly, our defense statistically was actually worse than our offense. Crennel was a horrible head coach.

As soon as we beat Green Bay we were FURTHER doomed.

It's quite possible, however, it was more of an indicator of such a pathetic offense than the defense. The defense, the majority of the time, would get the stops early only to have the O turn it over short or 4 and out, setting up the short field. After enough of that the defense usually turned into warm butter.

I don't even know why I was convinced. Just the fact that I hadn't seen the team play that hard all year for their coach. Just figured, 'maybe we needed him all year.' His staff hiring was a different story, but I did think the defense was going to turn a new leaf. Boy was I wrong.
