If Mariners can hold on for the win, we'll be 3.5 games back.

This really should be an exciting finish if we can take care of business.

Just got back from the game. We were in the Sonic Slam section to the right of the Royals bullpen so Perez's HR went almost right over us. The ball really carried. It looked almost identical to Moose's long out right before it.

I am a Butler fan. He has not been that consistent this year. Next year is due or die for this team, it more than likely starts to go back down hill after that. I believe in building for the future but, we have been doing that for 20 some years. It is time to win. And I do not care who gets cut in the process.

I'm tired of people saying that next year is do or die for the team. It's not, and cutting Butler, our most consistent producer to our offense, is an absolutely inane idea and will almost ensure the collapse of our already fragile offense.

If we can resign Shields or Santana long term, our window becomes much broader especially with the potential emergence of Duffy, Zimmer or Ventura.

8-7 vs Detroit this year. We keep our slim all time lead over them. They're damn good so going 8-7 so far is something to be proud of. Seriously, their run differential is crazy

Lets win the series tomorrow. Just keep winning 2 out of 3 and the Royals will be fine.

You are tired of it but, look at the very first word of your second paragraph. For only two little letters "IF" is a very big word.

I sincerely do not want to see Butler go. But IF your hopes are not realized in the offseason and IF the team does not make up for it in some regard, next year is the window closing on this group of players most likely.

I WANT Butler to stay and be successful. My comment was not about giving up on him this year. I think that would be stupid. But if he cannot be what we need him to be on a consistent basis and are able to get someone who can... Well, my loyalty is to the team, not any individual player.

I am not overly concerned about it. I believe he does rebound next year and all of this is a non-issue.

M's get out of a jam in the top of the 7th. Runners were on second and third with nobody out and Tampa fails to score. Come on M's!

Wow...I thought the recent swoon by the Royals pretty much killed their playoff chances. But I look today and see that they are only 4 games out of the wild card spot. When was the last time that happened?

So is Bonifacio next years 2B or do they keep looking? Also, shouldn't he be the lead off hitter because he has speed and switch hits? Would that be more logical?
