I saw this article more a condemnation of the coaching. The only thing I could put to Pioli was the micromanaging.

he isn't the first, or the only one.

Michael Lombardi after he and Al davis ran the Raiders into a hole they still aren't out of, was on NFL network until he was saved by the browns.

Pioli as stated, Phil Savage who was just a GOD AWFUL GM for the browns, just absolutely awful, is now an NFL INSIDER on ESPN, Matt Millen is routinely on as a consultant.

This is old hat.

It is embarrassing.

Got to hand it to the Clarks. Fast recognition of a bad situation and fast action to correct it. Creative style too, hire coach you want then get the GM he wants. Everyone is on the same page and working together.

I was impressed when Clark said that the coach AND the GM would report to him. Then apologized about everything. Would Jerry Jones do that?

So far it is paying off.

also, as much as I hated last season, the three previous seasons under the former regime gave this veteran core some cajones & football IQ they never had before. it takes a lot to turn such suckage around at the NFL level. actually, the Chiefs did it quite a bit faster than other teams did in recent years, though last season was a complete loss in every way. but they had the players, just needed a QB and a staff that had a clue.
