Can I just enjoy the ride?

I know, we are perfectly built just good enough for a 1st round loss. We have huge holes.
But can I just enjoy the wins when they come? Can you?

It's ceaseless nonsensical bitching about Smith's performance. Every. Week.

Hell I'm willing to bet there will be "****ing Smith" thread on the bye week due to something as silly as using the soup spoon for dessert.

Alex Smith is essentially unwatchable.

But 8-0, with a strong chance at 9-0 is awesome! No way we win less than 11 games now, and should definitely make the playoffs, and in the playoffs anything can happen (including AS possibly pulling his head out of his ***).

Yep.

I can enjoy the games during the games for the most part.

But it doesn't feel like we're a typical 8-0 team.

This. I'm thrilled as all hell that we're gonna be playing in January. I'm not expecting us to win it all, but just the fact that we'll have that opportunity is awesome.

I guess I asked it in a smart assed way, but I do wonder if certain posters gain any enjoyment at all from this ride.
We are. We love it. 8-0 is awesome. I love being undefeated. It's a great day to be a Chiefs fan.

It's fun to watch this team win. And totally unexpected. But here's the thing about today's NFL - if you aren't winning games that validate the fantasy football angle of today's game, then you're just not "good", because that's what gets talked about. Calvin Johnson went off today, absolutely ridiculous game, and they won by a point with under 20 seconds to play. BUT, what story is going to get talked about more this week - the Chiefs putting in a workman like day getting a six point win over a three win team, or Calvin Johnson and his 329 yards of receiving? The NFL is all about flashing stats and gaudy numbers, or at least the headline makers are. We don't have any of that, so therefore we have "gaping holes" (which we do) and "aren't as good as our record indicates".

And really, play time is over after the bye. We'll see just how much this team has to give when we get into the meat of the schedule.

You're a liar. Nobody had said "next week" as you suggest. We won't win against the Broncos if he plays the way he's played. Likely the same goes for the Colts. Also about any team in the playoffs.

We've had by far the easiest schedule in the NFL. We've taken advantage. Good for us. We'll see how should perform when we need him to against the Donkeys.

Well look, we are capable of beating any team in the NFL at this point. Especially if we are playing at home. That's more than enough for me right now considering last season we were one of the worst teams I've ever seen. We have a lot of good young players to build around, and we're halfway through the season and unbeaten. There's a lot to be optimistic about if you're a Chiefs fan right now.

I dunno he is basically saying the Chiefs are a self fulfilling prophecy. May be true. This place breeds negativity and failure or seems to thrive on it.
