Fisher officially out

From Terez Paylor of The Kansas City Star:
Eric Fisher is listed as out for the #Chiefs’ playoff game against Indy. Tamba Hali is listed as questionable

Sounds good but I'd like to have Fisher in a uni for depth purposes.

If Albert gets his 3rd/4th quarter injury and has to sit some plays out all the shuffling may hurt us.

Fisher is a rookie and not quite as good as albert yet, but he looks to be the same level as Albert next year. Beyond that i expect him to have much better feet than Albert.

You're just pissed because it wasn't a Quarterback and will continue to look for any reason to talk shit about every player drafted instead of a QB.

Tyson Jackson
Eric Fisher
next year's 1st round pick
Nothing Fisher has done this year has screamed that he is our left tackle of the future. Add in his nagging injuries as a rookie, and it is concerning.

If, and I do mean "IF", Fisher doesn't turn into a great, not good, left tackle for us, then we will look as stupid as the Raiders taking Robert Gallery. He was supposed to be their savior at left tackle, and he ended up being a decent guard for them.

But it's early in his career. We'll see what he is for real down the road.

I'd be shocked if Fisher isn't LT and Stephenson RT next season. Both are incredibly athletic, have good feet and hands and could play either spot, but Fisher's hands and immediate reaction time is really special.

At the end of the day, it's about getting reps and working against NFL level DE/OLB's. Both guys were essentially starting for the first time this season and by game 15 I thought that both were playing quite good football.

Mathis was a force in the first matchup, but he's done that to dudes all year long. He's had a career year in 2013, but I really don't have any concerns with either Fisher or Stephenson going into the 2014 season.

However, I do have concerns with Fisher out and Albert starting. Albert at LT scares the shit out of me.

Wait until they draft an offensive guard with their first pick in 2014. This place will go apeshit.

That's why I loved the Eric Berry and Jon Baldwin picks at the time, right? And that's why I wanted nothing to do with drafting a QB in the first round in 2012 after the Dolphins took Tannehill, right?

You can claim it's QB butthurt all you want, but when you start making up baseless bullshit, it's apparent that the only one with the butthurt feelings is you.

Also, no. Fisher still sucks. He's improved, but he still sucks. You're dead wrong about his current value as a starting NFL OT. He still needs to undergo a tremendous change in the offseason to be even be considered more reliable than Branden Albert has been throughout his career.

Yeah, if Albert gets hurt we'd have to shuffle to:

Stephenson-Allen-Hudson-Asamoah-Schwartz

If Fisher was available it'd be:

Stephenson-Allen-Hudson-Schwartz-Fisher

Fisher is ranked 70th out of 76 qualifying OT's in the NFL according to PFF.
