Chiefs Annouce Roster Moves to Meet NFL Mandated 53
Posted 42 minutes ago
The Chiefs announced their final round of cut downs
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced several roster moves on Saturday, including the release of 17 players in order to meet the NFL’s mandated 53-man roster limit. Additionally, the team has placed two players on injured reserve and one on the non-football injury list. Below are the roster moves that took place.

“As a collective football operation, coaches and scouts have held numerous discussions on each player during the evaluation process,” said Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey. “We had excellent competition at every position and that’s a great thing, but today we had to make some difficult decisions to narrow our roster to 53. The worst safety group in the NFL.

Same can probably be said for the OL.

Good take...unfortunately, the head coach and defensive coordinator think you are a ****ing moron.

Quote:
Undrafted rookie safety Daniel Sorensen jumped a Tyler Bray pass intended for receiver Frankie Hammond and came away with the interception. … In 7-on-7, Sorensen struck again by knocking away a Chase Daniel pass intended for tight end Richard Gordon. … Sorensen capped his strong day by picking off another pass, this time from Daniel. …
Quote:
“He’s come up and done a really nice job,” Sutton said. “He’s been a very physical player in the box. There was a crack early in the game (Saturday) and he came up did a good job setting there with the crack block.
Speaking with the media after practice, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke well of Sorensen.

Quote:
“He’s playing good football,” Reid said. “He’s a good special teams player also, which is important in a backup safety role. He’s making progress as we go. The thing you see with young guys, rookies, is you start backing days together. It’s not just one practice, it’s two, three practices. Then you know they’re kind of getting it right there.”
Quote:
“It looks like he’s a solid football player. We need to see more. But it looks like he’s a smart kid, solid player, was a good tackler in that game [and] did well with his coverages.”

Ironically, Succop was probably the most consistent kicker KC had, save for Stoyanovich. Lowery couldnt make a pressure kick...ever.

I dont dissagree at all with any of that but that Succup and his leg tired as it got cold. He would always start kicking that low ball asking to be blocked. And the there was the pushes.

Well, that might be.

However, I think that Sorensen has a chance to be a solid player. It's most likely why he's on the roster and the other, less talented players with lower ceilings are not.

I don't really know who the Sorenson guy is you are talking about.

I laughed when the Chiefs signed that turd as well. You know you suck all kinds of ass if you play Tackle for the Chiefs and get cut.
