And remember - you have to get to the playoffs to win a game.
You're crazy if you think Smith offers better odds than Manning to do so. |

Well we are in a win mode now. Odds are in Mannings favor. They would have to give us at least a 3rd round pick

I disagree and could rape you on your dumbass statements, but the bottom line is KC is a MUCH better team with Peyton than ASS. And that's the question posed.

Hypothetical: Would you trade Alex Smith for Peyton Manning?
Quote:
Go **** yourself, slut. This spurred some interesting conversation in the playoff thread and it looks to be about 70%-30% a hard no to Manning. |

Peyton is going to be 39 next year and could barely make it thru a season.
He's been an all time great, but father time is a bitch. |

Yes. One year of Manning then rebuild. Alex has too many years on his contract.

No doubt. Given his performance over the past couple months and today in particular, I figured now would be as level a playing field as Alex would ever get. 4 months ago this would have been a unanimous "yes". |

F no, Alex is younger and has trade potential.
Peyton is beyond his back nine and is out in 2-3 years hell maybe even next year. Now if we are talking 22 year old alex vs 22 year old peyton, obvious answer is peyton.. only a fool would ,pick otherwise and im sure we could fix his choke habits here in KC. lol |

Well I can't speak for anyone else. It has nothing to do with Denver hate. I think the guy has been off since the Rams game. Maybe he's hiding an injury. But at this point he isn't, so we have to evaluate it with what information we have. Over the last half of the year he's basically been a guy that's done well to throw for 200+ yards and a TD or two every week. He's going to be 39 next year, his arm probably isn't going to be any stronger. Maybe he'll prove me wrong. I can't believe people are taking those odds.

That's seriously a tough question. I think I would only because Manning will be done we might draft a high QB to replace him. With Smith it'll be a solid 2-3 years before draft a high QB. This would have a real shot.
